Life is hard. Keeping up with everything that’s going on around us can sometimes make it difficult for us to recognize and deal with what is going on within us. Perhaps you are struggling to manage stress, navigate relationships (with partners,
family
members, friends, coworkers, etc.), or adjust to changing life circumstances. Or maybe you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and looking for a change.

I utilize EMDR, Internal
Family
Systems, EFT, and other trauma focused modalities to heal and release the past.
Are you in need of healing from past traumas and old patterns that are keeping you from experiencing the life you deserve? I believe inside all of us there is an unharmable part that is our true-self. I see myself as a guide in the healing process, directing you back to your true-self, that often gets buried under cultural conditioning, other’s opinions, and inaccurate conclusions you drew as a child that became an unconscious belief system. I specialize in healing trauma, addiction, anxiety, and depression. I enjoy helping my clients regain a sense of empowerment by healing the past, allowing for an abundant and fulfilling future.

When people experience any form of trauma, it is not uncommon for them to need help and I would love to be the person to help you get through your life challenges. My clients say my down-to-Earth, friendly, and calming disposition help them feel safe and comfortable so that they can bridge a path on their own away from the trauma.

How long has it been since you felt at peace in your life....in your
family
...in your relationships...in yourself? We chose an olive leaf as our logo because and olive leaf symbolizes peace, and we believe that peace comes by nurturing healthy relationship connections. Maybe you have a difficult child, teen, spouse or extended
family
member. You want peace in that relationship, and you wake up every morning hoping things will be better....but the same unhealthy patterns happen again and again. You are exhausted from searching for ways to stop the behavior, which only causes more tension in the relationship.

I assist individuals with the difficult, and sometimes unpredictable, adjustments that they may experience or may need to make in their lives. I do this in a calm and safe environment that allows for an individual to express their feelings, share their thoughts and opinions, develop skills, and work towards completing their goals. Family Therapy
What do family therapists do?
A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.
How long does therapy for families take to work?
Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.
How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?
You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.
Is therapy for families effective?
Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
