Despite your successes, you find yourself stuck in a cycle of burnout, anxiety, self-doubt, and unprocessed trauma. The pressure to keep performing is slowly draining your joy, leaving you overwhelmed and disconnected from yourself. You’re constantly juggling responsibilities while battling the weight of emotional exhaustion. The balance you once had feels distant, and the tools that used to help no longer work. This isn’t just about stress—it’s about healing old wounds, reclaiming your energy, and finding your way back to a life that feels aligned, grounded, and truly yours. You deserve more than survival-you deserve to feel whole,

You may be someone who shows up for others with depth and devotion but feels like no one truly shows up for you in return. Perhaps you are navigating heartbreak, a major transition, or the slow unraveling of old protective patterns. You long for connection that feels mutual and safe. You want to feel more at home in yourself, to understand your triggers without shame, and to trust that healing is possible, especially in relationships. You may also be in the midst of parenting, grief, or re-centering after a period of burnout. What you want most is to be met with care, clarity, and respect for your inner complexity.

I believe that it takes courage and wisdom to ask for help. Giving yourself the time and space to work things through is a gift to yourself and your relationships. Therapy is also a partnership for growth. I work with individuals, couples, families to help them achieve healthier relationships and to add more meaning and purpose to their lives. We live in an era of change. People often need help to move through transitions, cope with their anxieties, and work their way through depression. I like to help clients build emotional stamina, clearer thinking, value intuition, and make heart-connections. Currently I am only doing Telehealth

What's up! These days, I'm loving to work with individuals who are dealing with political anxiety, issues around their sexuality, new job/college experiences, shifts in relationships or religious beliefs, reconstruction after faith deconstruction, grief/loss, difficult family dynamics - or big emotions from all the above. I also specifically work with those who've experienced religious trauma, adverse religious experiences, or spiritual abuse. I love and work closely with those in the LQBTQIA+ and neurodiverse communities. All work is judgment-free and trauma-informed.

I’m passionate about therapy because I’ve seen how meaningful it can be—both in my own life and in the lives of those I love. I offer a warm, grounded space for clients to reflect, process, and grow. My approach is client-centered and humanistic, drawing from attachment, narrative, and psychodynamic theories. I also offer nature-informed therapy for those who find healing in being outdoors, reconnecting with their bodies, or simply slowing down. I live and work on the ancestral lands of the Yokuts peoples, and I honor their ongoing relationship with this place by approaching this work with humility and respect.

Hi there, I'm Gina! Have you been considering going to therapy for a while? I know it's a difficult choice but when you decide, I will be happy to meet with you! I see therapy as an important investment in yourself. I provide a safe, confidential, and affirming space that encourages you to explore and learn about yourself and what keeps you from feeling like the best version of yourself. I prefer in-person sessions, but do telehealth sessions as well when in-person doesn't work for you.

Psychotherapy deals with those issues close to the human heart: what we love, what we hate, what we fear, what we hope for. It might seem that such things would be obvious to everyone, but it can be surprisingly hard to understand not only what we want but why we want it. That's where a good therapist comes in, one who is trained and objective, but equally important, one who is compassionate and respectful. I can help you work through issues and difficulties that might otherwise seem insurmountable.

Dr. Watts believes change happens through an ecological relationship between two or more people. Therapy is a relationship that deepens our humanity. As humans, we are embedded within systems, from internal to cosmological. We are often unaware of how we are impacted by these systems. Effective therapy brings this complex web of relationships to awareness. Dr. Watts offers a relational approach designed to expand individual consciousness. He is integrative in his approach, using systemic therapies, EMDR, and a Jungian perspective to support the well-being of his patients.

No matter what you’re feeling right now, you don’t have to stay stuck. Life gets heavy, especially when you’re overwhelmed, burned out, or going through a major transition. Many of my clients in the Fresno/Clovis area know something needs to change but don’t know where to begin. Together, we sort through the stories you’ve been carrying, make sense of your patterns, and build practical tools so you can move forward with more confidence and ease. Understanding yourself is often the first step toward a life that feels calmer, more meaningful, and more like you.

You have to be strong all the time. You feel stuck. You can’t sleep. You feel your heart racing. You’re someone who is driven, kind and generous, but still find yourself struggling with healthy boundaries , feeling like you always put others needs above your own, and forget about yourself. You find you are having doubts about yourself and abilities. But you’re ready to make a change. You’re ready to step out of your comfort zone. You’re ready to set healthy boundaries with others and yourself. Most of all, you’re ready to prioritize yourself and regain your confidence . I want to help you get there.

What courage it takes for you to just be here. Welcome. And thank you for taking this step. Life is challenging and my belief is that even with a little help, you can overcome those challenges and function at your best. The past can be your teacher, and time your healer. My belief is that when we stop fighting the past or our present hardships is when we can THRIVE. I will meet you where you are. We can go from there.

FAQs - About Therapy and Counseling

How can I find a therapist in Fresno-High, Fresno?

Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. From there, you can filter providers by the issues they treat, cost, insurance, gender, and other factors to find providers who are well-suited to your needs. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or zip code into the search bar.

Learn more about how to find a therapist

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
