I have years of experience working with clients with diagnoses of depression, anxiety, and trauma, as well as working with neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ clients. I have supported clients in understanding why they are experiencing their symptoms, what skills they need and what skills work for that specific individual, and encourage them to utilize their learned skills in order to improve their symptoms and overall functioning.

I have 35 yrs experience working with girls/teens and women; re self esteem, body image, boundaries, grief, relationships, co-dependency, parenting, menses, perinatal, sexuality, menopause, aging and caregiving.
Reaching out for counseling takes courage. I can support you as you go through life’s transitions and challenges. I foster self compassion, self love through encouragement of self care and highlighting your strengths. I met my clients where they are and have a humanistic and intuitive approach. We all experience difficult times, but sometimes life's challenges become too overwhelming to get through them alone. The silver lining is that change and challenges offer the greatest potential for growth and change. There is hope. Please feel free to call to inquire if we are a good match for working together. Tele Video Health offered.

Life can feel overwhelming, whether you’re navigating anxiety, grief, self-esteem challenges, or feeling stuck.
I bring a warm, compassionate, and collaborative approach to therapy, creating a nonjudgmental space where you can safely explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I also draw on my own background in personal growth work, which helps me meet you not just as a therapist, but as a fellow human who understands how messy and meaningful inner work can be.

Do you ever feel lost, anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected from your true self? Shaped by high expectations—often cultural or familial—you may feel torn between who you’re supposed to be and who you really are. I work with driven individuals, especially second-gen children of immigrants, who are navigating identity struggles and the pressure to succeed. Do you ever feel like you're having the same argument over and over again, with no clear resolution? Do you want to deepen your relationship and break free from unproductive communication patterns? I also support couples who want things to change, but don't know how to do it.

You're probably tired of feeling like this. If you're carrying everything quietly, tend to over-function, or over-think, now is the right time to make a change. Maybe it's an inner critic that won't quit, old wounds that keep resurfacing, or a life that no longer quite fits. If you feel things deeply, tend to live in your head, or just know something needs to shift, I think we'd work really well together.

I work with children, teens, and young adults navigating challenges like emotion regulation, mood disorders, ADHD, low self-esteem, autism, PTSD, and social skills development.
As a licensed psychologist, I'm committed to supporting individuals and families through life's challenges and transitions. My practice is built on strong, trusting relationships that honor the unique strengths each person brings — because real change starts from a place of being truly seen and valued. I also recognize that no one exists in isolation. Family, school, and community all play a powerful role in shaping who we are, and I weave that understanding into everything we do together. I specialize in working with children and teens navigating complex trauma, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and attachment difficulties — meeting each

I have a warm, non-judgmental and individualized approach that can help you find an inner calm and grounded self-confidence that will stick over the long term.
You're a smart, sensitive soul who knows how to get shit DONE. People can count on you because you're the responsible, reliable "giver" who makes sure others' wants and needs are met. On the outside, it seems like you've got it all together. But your mind is often a maelstrom of worry and turmoil, anticipating worst-case scenarios and disaster. Your inner critic whispers (or shouts!) in your ear: "Maybe you're just not good enough...you're failing...you're a fraud." Your outer success is a double-edged sword, rewarding you with the external validation that makes you feel worthy but keeps you on the approval-seeking hamster wheel.

I am a clinical psychologist with an affectionate heart for therapy. Beyond my doctoral training, I received years of advanced therapy training from the best trainers in the field. Since 2007, I have worked with an exceptionally wide range of cultural backgrounds and therapy needs, ranging from brief adjustment issues to serious mental illness. Many of my clients have told me that they appreciate my way of accurately understanding them and their situation, my ability to point out the core human experience in a way that that really stays on their mind, and my presence as a human being that provides warm support.

I’m now offering a limited number of in-person therapy spots in Pasadena, in addition to my online practice. You’re a high-functioning woman who holds it all together on the outside - while quietly falling apart inside. You snap at your kids, then spiral with guilt. You’re touched out, say yes when you mean no, and carry everyone else’s emotions like they’re your responsibility. You overthink, second-guess your boundaries, and feel exhausted from over-functioning - barely recognizing yourself anymore.

Greetings, my name is Abram. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist, working in the field for approximately 12 years. I have worked with a variety of individuals, and couples over the course of my career. My goal as a therapist, is to work myself out of a job. In other words, I want to help my clients, identify their goals, and then work towards their goals, in a relatively short period of time. In my professional experience, most people come to therapy as a result of relationship discord, or persistent distressing emotions. My goal is to assist my clients in finding relief from distressing, emotion, and enjoy relationships.

Life is a challenge and may be overwhelming at times for you as you are suffering from depression. Even the brave step in finding emotional support through therapy may be difficult to initiate for some people. My goal is to assist clients in helping them understand that there is a process of recovery of depression and to raise their awareness that they are not alone.

Self Esteem Therapists
When should a person seek therapy for low self-esteem?
When self-esteem problems begin to disrupt the healthy daily functioning of an individual, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not engaging with friends for fear of being judged, not completing work assignments because they don’t think they’re capable, or not finding romantic love because they don’t feel they’re worthy of it, a therapist may be able to help.

What are the signs of low self-esteem?
Low self-esteem is a common issue that can affect a person's mental and emotional well-being. Some common signs of low self-esteem include negative self-talk, perfectionism, social anxiety, difficulty making decisions, an inability to set boundaries, people-pleasing, and others. A lack of belief in oneself or one’s abilities and a feeling of not being worthy or deserving underlie most of these characteristics.

What causes low self-esteem?
Feelings of low self-worth can begin in childhood or adulthood. Being raised by a highly critical parent or growing up feeling constant disapproval can stay with a person well into adulthood. Specific issues in adulthood may also be a cause of low self-esteem. An unhappy relationship, a dysfunctional work or school experience can impact a person’s feelings of self-worth.

How can therapy improve self-esteem?
Therapists can help identify negative thought patterns that keep the client stuck in a loop of destructive self-talk and develop coping skills to change the voice in their head. A therapist can help with goal-setting, so that clients are better able to stay on task and build confidence from successfully completing work they’re proud of. Coaching a client on how to better communicate can improve relationships. These skills can result in someone with low self-esteem feeling empowered and living with less fear.
