In addition to "talk" therapeutic modalities, I target trauma by utilizing Brainspotting, EFTT, and body technique.
Do you ever wish someone truly understood what you're going through? Relationships are hard. Life is hard. Being alone in it is even harder. Sometimes we all need help figuring things out or how to move forward. What is influencing your present? Our past is not suppose to dictate our present, but sometimes it does. Our life was not meant to be filled with sadness, fear, or regrets. Good communication, fulfilling relationships, and a sense of wholeness are all possible. What about loss? Sometimes we can't get back what we want, but if we get stuck in grief we end losing more. With help, relationships and situations can get better.

I specialize in evidence-based therapies for anxiety, PTSD, panic attacks, grief, and adjusting to complex life changes - such as medical diagnoses including peri/postpartum concerns.
We are all experiencing life: the good, the bad, and the painful. Whether we are chasing lofty goals or responding to complex responsibilities, stress and frustration broach our lives and create dysregulation in our bodies. This physiological dysregulation can lead to anxiety and depression, significantly impacting daily life. As William James stated, “The great thing, then, in all education, is to make our nervous system our ally instead of our enemy.”

My areas of focus include grief, loss, and trauma.
I believe we all need help sometimes. Life is a journey, a journey that can be painful to navigate. It is my honor to walk beside you. It makes a difference to have someone that can help hold the burden until you find your own strength. It is my privilege to hold space as you work through trauma, pain, and grief. Transformation is a process, and to have support integrating the pain into the depths of your soul, is a gift of connection. Soul to soul. If you are searching for an advocate and a healer, it is not a coincidence you found me.

I believe that most mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and relationship challenges are rooted in past trauma.

Our work together will involve understanding why you engage in certain behaviors, learning coping skills, and discovering the courage you never knew you had. You will be able to gain confidence and develop more meaningful relationships. This will allow you to achieve the life you thought was possible but didn't know how to achieve.

I am trained in EMDR to help trauma & PTSD symptoms.
I provide couples in-person/virtual therapy throughout California. Interactions with a loved one can bring out the very best and worst in us. If the dynamic with your spouse or partner is a repeated source of pain, I am here to help. Instead of trying to understand each other, most partners make accusations & get defensive. l help couples to uncover feelings driving their interactions and reactions and then teach communication skills to help them transform the way they relate and connect. I truly believe that a loving and supportive relationship/family is one the most amazing gifts we can give to ourselves, children, and loved ones.

I specialize in PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, bereavement/grief, depression, dissociative disorders, somatic disorders, and codependency.
Maybe something terrible happened to you or someone you love, and you wonder how to live with the triggers, grief, and anger. Your relationships are likely affected - maybe you overreact or feel numb and detached from others. You learned coping skills but are frankly tired of coping. There is good news - the brain can heal itself, called neuroplasticity. I experienced trauma first-hand and healed. I can help you do the same and heal your brain. If you tried other things to heal and found little relief, there is a good chance you have undischarged traumatic stress. Let's get to the trauma root and extract it once and for all!

I work with individuals and couples who feel trapped in self-defeating patterns of anxiety, despair, and anger. This may be related to a traumatic experience or loss. Others may find that these disruptive patterns have always been there but are now making the choice to live life differently - one that feels more genuine and meaningful. Most feel that they are losing control of their own lives and that they are lacking balance in some very important ways. I specialize in interpersonal therapy to treat problems such as trauma, mood disorders, and chronic relationship difficulties.

I understand that everyone is unique, and I will tailor treatment accordingly to meet you where you are at on your therapeutic journey. Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
