Prioritizing and fortifying emotional health may be one of the most critical aspects of a successful life. For most of us, one on one therapy provides the ideal opportunity to allow us to work on identifying the patterns that need to shift to help us achieve this success. Once we begin to strengthen self awareness we can let go of maladaptive patterns and begin to heal and find a deeper satisfaction in life. That is what I help clients do. As a licensed therapist, I have been dedicated to helping individuals, including teens, families, young adults, and couples, on their own transformative journey since 2002. I truly value my work!

Therapy is a collaborative relationship, as individual as the people in the room. Often the work involves slowing down and creating a secure space for being open, curious and able to revisit and make sense of thoughts, memories and feelings that give rise to present difficulties. I'm especially attentive to your higher powers of perception and positive self determination. Together we resolve present-day problems with roots in the past, changing patterns that produce familiar and unwanted results so you are freer to choose the life you want.

Life doesn’t come with a roadmap, and every stage brings its own challenges. Adolescence can feel confusing and overwhelming; adulthood may carry stress, loss, or pressure to have it all figured out. Parenting can bring fear and constant worry, while aging may stir grief and reflection. At any point, you might struggle with anxiety, depression, anger, or exhaustion—or simply feel curious about yourself and your patterns. Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to face it alone.

My approach to therapy is deeply embodied, integrating polyvagal theory and attachment-informed methods to help you build a reliable felt sense of safety. I believe that when the body and nervous system can truly recognize cues of safety, healing becomes not just possible but natural. My practice is dedicated to supporting growth, healing, and authentic self-expression, especially for those who have been made to feel like they are “too much.” I love working with people who are ready to reclaim space, deepen trust in their body’s wisdom, and reconnect with their own intuition.

In addition to lifespan development, I also specialize in working with anger, anxiety, depression, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
Navigating personal development, family, and relational issues is difficult enough by itself, let alone when you are dealing with psycho-social-emotional difficulties. I am a relatively interactive clinician, using my professional and life experience to empathetically connect with a variety of issues.

Welcome to my practice! Have you been feeling like anxiety, low mood and motivation have been getting you stuck and preventing you from living the life you want to? Anxiety is a normal and important feeling that we developed to protect us from harm. If you are experiencing overwhelming levels of anxiety though, it can prevent you from doing things you care about, disrupt your social life and cause intense distress. Similarly, if you suffer from very low mood and motivation, it might seem impossible to engage in activities you previously cared about.

I have 13 years of experience helping high-achievers break free from anxiety, OCD, and trauma through nervous system-focused treatment.
On paper, your life looks great: the career, the family, the achievements. But inside, you're worn out and battling a constant inner struggle. Life feels hard, and gratitude seems just beyond reach. Intrusive thoughts like 'what if...' linger, as do compulsive routines like endless phone scrolling. Physical symptoms such as IBS, migraines, or chronic fatigue seem to come and go without reason. You procrastinate on important things and beat yourself up. Even self-care becomes another pressure point. You're concerned about being too emotional or not caring enough. Ultimately, you yearn to stop chasing approval and find peace.

I use evidence based modalities, such as CPT and ERP, to treat C-PTSD and OCD.
You’re both willing to put in the work, but the situation is just so complicated. You’re not sure where to even start. Maybe your upbringings are just that different... but to be honest, you’ve always felt it was hard to relate to people. Even the ones who shared the same culture, religion, or grew up in the same place as you. It’s hard to explain, even to the person you love the most. Whether it's relearning yourself and your partner, making sense of past trauma, managing symptoms, or breaking cycles, my clients end up either ready to make those changes or at least have a better idea of what’s going on.

I work with individuals seeking support for stress, life transitions, perfectionism, or challenges that feel overwhelming. I aim to help people feel more confident and capable in navigating daily life, managing emotions or unexpected challenges, and making choices that create steadier, more balanced experiences. Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists
How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.

What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.

Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine (under the brand name Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), and sertraline (Zoloft), among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.

Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
