Are you tired of running away from your fears and missing out on opportunities for growth? You have all the answers inside you. My role is to walk alongside you on this journey of personal growth to help you find those answers. I can hold the mirror for you to see in those blind spots that are hard for us to see on our own, to help you understand better how you want to help yourself in acceptance or taking action (whichever fits your true self where you are at), and to have the patience and love to be gentle with yourself.

Sometimes the stresses and difficulties of life can become too insurmountable to face on our own, and we need additional therapeutic input to help navigate these obstacles and build resiliency. Are you experiencing anxiety, depression, difficulty with coping, relationship challenges or workplace stress? These are some of the issues we can address together in therapy. If you want to make positive changes in your life and see an increase in your overall health and well-being, improved mood, feel more in control of your life, experience peace, discover your full potential or gain a better understanding of yourself, therapy can help.

Everything about our lives is centered in relationship; knowing how to effectively initiate and maintain supportive, enjoyable and mutually satisfying relationships will serve us throughout our lives. But this doesn't happen without many ups and downs, some of which benefit from including a supportive, objective and helpful therapist. If you are wishing to improve your thinking, your skill in dealing with stress, anxiety, depression or trauma, living in past experiences or fearing the future, I would be honored to help.

Life's challenges can sometimes seem overwhelming. You don't have to walk through it alone. Finding the courage to ask for help can be a powerful step on the path to healing. I believe that when people are listened to, understood, and accepted, they can connect to their inner wisdom, build resiliency, and cultivate a sense of well-being. My intention is to create a welcoming, supportive, respectful environment in which you can feel safe to share your truth.

It's the middle of the night and you can't sleep. You keep trying to understand why you are so stuck in your life and your relationship. Your partner is asleep in the other room because you are fighting again. You've done so much to try to feel connected but it isn't working. It's so different than what you experience when you are in community, surrounded by people who are vibrant and expansive. Like that time you were at Burning Man and you felt so alive only to come home to a life that feels numb, and disconnected. No matter how many plant medicine ceremonies, books, or courses you do, you still find yourself frustrated.

Painful feelings and life experiences are difficult to work through alone. Therapy can provide the time and space for support and positive growth. Compassion for those who are struggling emotionally and trust in the innate resiliency of the body/mind are the basic tenants that inform my practice. Interweaving research-supported therapies, I facilitate strategies that help clients discover and apply tools that promote well-being. My priority is to build safe connections with clients in order to help them clarify and attain their mental health goals so they may live a more empowered, meaningful and joyful life.

I believe that the therapy process is a practice of paying attention to what is actually happening - it sounds simple, but this is actually a deeply profound and challenging stance to maintain towards life. The work we do in therapy involves bringing elements of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, how we relate to ourselves and to others, and how we move through the world, from the darkness of the unconscious into the light of consciousness where we can take a look at them. We do not have to struggle and toil in order to implement change in our lives.

A special focus of my practice is with creative's and culturally diverse people. Besides teaching clients new skills to overcome their feelings of depression, anxiety, trauma or low self-esteem, I am also trained as a master career coach and can help you find greater meaning in your career choices or achieve success in your job search or in improving your work relationships.

Therapy is a place where we get to focus on what's important to us: where we've been, where we'd ideally like to go, and everything in between. A confidential place just for you - free from the distractions of work, responsibilities, family and other people's agendas. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are at, and to support you in the ways that you need.

In the darkest night of unimaginable pain and grief, one hand to hold, one heart to listen, can be all that's needed to make it until the sun rises again. I aim to create a therapeutic relationship and setting that is a living sanctuary for the heart and soul. When I sought therapy during a very difficult time in my life, my therapist allowed me to bring my 5 month old son to sessions with me. As a new mother, this support was invaluable to me at that time in my life. I hope to offer similar support to mothers, birthing people, and primary caregivers and others who are in need.

Who am I? Why am I here? Where am I going? These are a few of the questions that most people ask when they are in a time of struggle or change. We find ourselves searching for concrete answers but often find ourselves in shifting sand. We internalize this and feel like there is something wrong with us. We all encounter times of grief whether from the loss of a loved one, the loss of a job, loss of faith, etc. You deserve to talk with someone who can help you find your strengths as you navigate what may feel like an entirely new world. You don't have to do this alone.

I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. I don't believe there’s a limit to human capacity. As a Transmasc, Non binary, Queer (who is also Neurodivergent) I’ve often felt like I didn’t get the memo on how to “do” life. Through my own therapeutic journey in my late 30's I was inspired to change careers and become a Therapist. Maybe you're wanting to process a relationship, work on anxiety, motivation, perfectionism, or looking to define who you are, or who you want to be. Therapy can provide a great deal of relief, and clarity. The best part is you don't have to do it alone.

My passion is working with a wide range of people who are finding a way to live in their full potential and purpose. Life at times is painful, give me the opportunity to sit with you and help you find relief. I am experienced working with children, teenagers, couples, families, blended families, and parents. I feel a great sense of honor and privilege to work in the intimate parts of others lives in areas of anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting, and grief. In 2011 is when I started training as a therapist and have now been licensed as a marriage and family therapist since 2017.

My ideal client(s) desires to live authentically and are in search of health, self discovery and thriving relationships. They are likely to have struggled with depression, anxiety, trauma, or somatic complaints for many year--and are EXHAUSTED!! I find encouragement in assisting clients to break free of dysfunctional patterns that have kept them stuck in unhealthy relationships and stressful cycles. I strongly believe that people have within them the ability to heal but that finding that inner power is sometimes limited by trauma, grief, stress, and faulty coping. A trusted therapist can help you speed up the process.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists
What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.
How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.
Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.
How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
