I (she/her/hers) work with transition aged youth (14-24), adults and seniors in my telehealth practice online. I want to see people who need help with making decisions, dealing with the past, and accepting self care into their own lives.

I enjoy working with individuals who are seeking a deeper awareness of their past, in order to understand themselves in the present and thrive in the future. I strive to create trusting relationships with my clients that allow us to work together collaboratively. I typically help clients with relational issues, depression, anxiety, life transitions and trauma. I utilize a LGBTQIA+ affirmative lens and fuse together a psychodynamic approach and when appropriate Attachment Focused EMDR to target traumas. I also enjoy working with couples who are looking to tune up their communication skills and make time to reconnect.

I provide a supportive therapeutic relationship and skillful psychotherapy. I can help with a range of concerns that people bring to therapy. These include improving relationships, working through difficult feelings, managing anxiety, changing troubling behaviors, strengthening a sense of identity and purpose, or improving ones ability to cope with difficult circumstances. I work with teen and adult clients; individuals, couples, and families. Along with talk therapy, when appropriate I enjoy incorporating non-verbal forms of expression such as drawing and sand tray work.

I have been a good fit for individuals looking for a supportive space to address anxiety and depression, needing movement in developing new coping strategies, seeking a deeper level of wellness and balance, or identity development. I have often found that I work well with those who have found therapy unhelpful in the past and are looking to give it another try. I also recognize that counseling is a different experience for those who identify as ADHD or ASD. The neuro-diverse culture is an area that I have experience in and that I find meaningful to work with.

Psychology has come a long way. As someone who has graduated within the past five years, with current knowledge in the field as well as life experience, I enjoy applying multicultural counseling, relational systems therapy, and trauma informed care for clients with all backgrounds, issues and concerns. Every client is a unique combination of past experiences, current challenges and strengths, and future goals and dreams, and I commit to fully helping clients understand the issues that they face with support, compassion, and information for the help they seek in therapy.

New Growth Psychology is dedicated to providing psychodynamic therapy to teens and adults. Psychodynamic therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach, but an evidence-based treatment that acknowledges the vastness of each individuals experience while holding pervasive themes that exist across human experience. This type of therapy can be a good fit for individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, existential crisis, or identity exploration. Some possible benefits of psychodynamic therapy include increased awareness of emotions, increased self-esteem and deepening in interpersonal relationships.

I have been working with people for 40 years and look forward to helping clients create healthy relationships with me, themselves and with those in their lives. I enjoy working with individuals from all racial and cultural backgrounds who are motivated to make changes in their lives; to reduce painful reactions; and increase their understanding of what makes them feel happy, strong and self assured. I encourage clients to do homework assignments in between therapy sessions, in an effort to help clients take ownership of their process, and learn coping skills that will last beyond treatment.
