Are you the one holding everything together for your medically complex child - while quietly carrying more than most people ever see? Many come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in survival mode after years of caregiving and advocacy. They may struggle with burnout, medical trauma, relationship stress, guilt, or feeling isolated from others who do not understand their experience. I provide compassionate, trauma-informed support to help clients process difficult emotions, strengthen coping skills, improve relationships, and reconnect with themselves beyond caregiving.

Seeking out support for yourself or for your child is a courageous act, and one that is full of hope. Childhood and parenting can be tremendously challenging, and you do not need to figure out all of the pieces alone. I would be honored to work alongside you, providing a safe environment to share your story, gently face and move through challenges, and develop solutions that will bring you and your child relief and allow you both to thrive.

I understand that life is hard. I view mental health from a medical lens, which includes mind, body and spirit. When you catch a cold, you support the immune system and medicate the symptoms. When we encounter challenging life circumstances like a new role as a parent or a caregiver, a loss, or an opportunity- the learning curve is steep. As a therapist, I work to understand the what, with empathy and respect. I work collaboratively, validating and acknowledging the resources available, whether they are within you or in reach. If you are feeling trapped, stuck, helpless/hopeless in your circumstances, I want to help find a way out.

I'm certified in Perinatal Mental Health, and have completed extensive training in working with those experiencing infertility.
Life can feel overwhelming when anxiety, depression, or past trauma take hold. You might find yourself trapped in cycles of worry, self-doubt, or emotional exhaustion—struggling to keep up with daily demands while feeling disconnected from yourself and others. Maybe past experiences continue to surface in ways you can’t quite explain, making it hard to move forward. The weight of these emotions can be isolating, leaving you feeling stuck or uncertain about how to find relief. No matter where you are in your journey, you don’t have to face it alone—there is hope, and healing is possible.

I work with mothers/women on the journey before, during, and in the thick of motherhood and postpartum - supporting gentle guidance and helping you understand the mental, emotional, physical changes that occur once you cross the threshold of motherhood.
Maybe you're the person everyone relies on, but it's just too much. You need a soft place to land and heal. I support clients struggling with perfectionism, people-pleasing, burnout, or the pressure to keep it all together. You might be a right fit if you're an overwhelmed mom, professional, or high-achieving adult who appears to have it all together on the outside but feels burnt out, anxious, or stretched thin. My approach is somatic, evidence based and tailored to help you strengthen self-trust, build practical tools, and create lasting change so you can feel more balanced, connected, and aligned with what matters most.

I help moms of neurodivergent kids learn to stay steady through the meltdowns, trust they're doing enough and start feeling like themselves again. Does life feel like you're just surviving each day? Getting out the door takes it out of you. Juggling the emails to school and providers in between your own work meetings. The explaining to family and friends who just don’t quite get it is exhausting. Somewhere in the middle of all of this, your own needs faded into the background and it’s getting harder to recognize yourself. You need support, but you don’t know how to get it when your child needs you so much. I got you.

I work adults and couples navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, parenting, life transitions, and perinatal and postpartum mental health.
Your mental health doesn’t have to wait. Onsite childcare available for sessions. If you've been putting everyone else's needs before your own, you're not alone. As a therapist and a parent myself, I know how easy it is to keep telling yourself you'll focus on your own mental health "when life slows down." For many of us, that time never seems to come.

Pregnancy, Prenatal, Postpartum Therapists
What are the most effective ways to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns?
The most effective way to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns is by finding a therapist who has prior experience helping other patients overcome the challenge being faced. For example, a marriage and family therapist may have experience helping couples adjust to their new relationship dynamic. An anxiety specialist may have experience helping with phobias or illness anxiety related to the child’s health. A depression specialist may have experience treating postpartum depression.

When should I seek treatment for prenatal or postpartum concerns?
Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve intense physical and mental changes; a degree of upset and instability is normal. However, if these changes impair daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. This distinction is pertinent for postpartum depression: A period of teariness, irritability, and distress is difficult but normal in the one to two weeks after childbirth (sometimes called the “baby blues.”) But if feelings of sadness and hopelessness persist beyond that period, the person should seek treatment.

How do I manage worries during pregnancy or the postnatal period?
A therapist can help patients develop the tools they need to manage anxieties during or after pregnancy. Cognitive behavioral therapy can help people identify and reframe harmful patterns of thought, and change their behaviors. Other techniques and skills can allow people to develop acceptance, psychological flexibility, self-compassion, communication skills, and more.

Are there specific medications for postpartum depression?
In 2019, the FDA approved the first medication designed to treat postpartum depression. The medication is called brexanolone and is delivered intravenously by a medical professional over the course of a few days. However, typical antidepressants, which are more accessible, can also treat postpartum depression. The disorder is often best treated through a combination of medication and therapy.
