Kaiser Permanente (OON) Therapists in Encinitas, CA
Life doesn’t always fall apart all at once; sometimes it’s a quiet shift. You wake up one day feeling off, disconnected, or unsure of who you are anymore. Maybe you’re holding it together on the outside, but inside you feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally exhausted.
I work with people who are tired of carrying it all alone.
Whether you’re navigating a major life transition, grief, relationship changes, or simply a sense that something isn’t right, therapy can be a place to slow down, breathe, and begin to make sense of what you’re feeling. You don’t need to have the “right words” or a clear goal, just a willingness to show up.

We all have a story to tell. Our lives are full of hopes and dreams, fears and struggles. No matter if the client in front of me is a twenty year old struggling with their gender or sexual identity, a couple in their 40's experiencing mismatched desire, or a 60 year old with sexual dysfunction concerns, we all need someone to listen and support us. I consider myself to be an empathetic therapist. I want to support my client as best as I can. I also know that it isn't easy to go to therapy and I want to be someone who starts with where the client is at, but also know that I can be direct at times if needed, and softer at other times.

How can you pick your next therapist from words on a screen? Instead, I invite you to watch this video: youtu.be/EVLELpxj69c. In that clip, I explain who I am and how I can help. My approach has always centered on "The Adult Initiation": the idea that everyone needs someone to help guide them into and through adulthood, so they come out the other side stronger, more connected, and more sure of who they are.
I work with people facing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, addictions, and trauma. Feel stuck in your life even though everything looks fine on paper? My techniques can help you find clarity and direction.

I believe that therapy can heal, but I also know that telling a stranger about your deepest pain can be a strange feeling. Perhaps you've been feeling sad, depressed or worried, and hopeless that anything in your life can change. Or maybe you aren't sure what you would even want help with. You know you feel bad, but if someone were to ask you "How can I help?", you aren't sure what you would say. These problems can feel permanent and unsolvable. After all, something feels broken and unfixable, so how could you not feel that it takes all the energy you have just to get up in the morning and go about your day?

Marriage & Family Therapist, LMFT
1 Endorsed
San Marcos, CA 92069
My name is Ronda Jacobs LMFT. I offer an authentic healing person centered approach, treating the whole person, not just your symptoms. My goal is to make you feel safe, comfortable, and like you are speaking to a friend; someone who knows and understands you on a deeper level that can help unlock your truest potential.
Sometimes we need an outside observer and a safe space to explore parts of ourselves in order to heal, evolve, and gain perspective. I believe in divine intervention, and that we all have an “inner voice” or intuition that whispers guidance or insights about a situation, including our own emotions and needs.

Kaiser Permanente (KP) is an integrated managed care organization. Unlike many insurance companies, KP owns and runs hospitals and medical facilities and employs doctors, nurses and mental health workers.
The professionals listed here have self-identified as accepting Kaiser insurance. That does not necessarily mean that they are employed or in-network with Kaiser. It may simply mean that they can work with you, as an out-of-network provider, if your KP plan allows.
