Whether it’s a relationship, career, health issue, life transition or some other emotional or mental roadblock that has you feeling like you’re not functioning at your best, we can get down to the root of it, get clear on direction, move through it and move forward.
As a Functional Medicine Naturopath, I can help you look at mind/body connections. The body speaks in symptoms instead of words! Using a solution focused, holistic approach, we’ll get in the trenches together, brainstorming; coming up with techniques, methods and options that may be helpful, guiding you to your own inner wisdom and clear direction.

I am trauma focused, a member of the LGBTQ community, KINK/BDSM, poly positive and affirming. In our work together, I strive to meet you in your world, to understand how you see and feel things, and to collaborate on a path that supports your growth and your truth. I work with the belief that each person carries a rich internal landscape, often shaped by early experiences, unconscious stories, and deep emotional currents. By paying attention to symbolic language, recurring patterns, and emotional responses, we can uncover the deeper threads that run through your life and help you make meaning of them in a way that empowers you.

Together, we’ll explore patterns, strengthen relationships, build resilience, and reconnect you with your values.
Therapy isn’t about fixing you—it’s about feeling seen, empowered, and aligned in a world that often overlooks you. As an Afro-Latina and former educator turned relational therapist, I bring warmth, cultural humility, and deep respect for lived experiences into the therapy room. I specialize in working with all folks including neurodivergent, LGBTQ+ individuals, BIPOC, and other marginalized communities navigating identity, trauma, burnout, systemic stress, and substance use.

I am a gender-affirming, sex-affirming, trauma-informed therapist who works with pre-teens/teens, adults and couples.
You are intuitive, sensitive and intelligent. How you're perceived doesn’t match up with how you feel about yourself. Maybe you've been trying to live up to others expectations, or societal expectations, of how you "should" be. You feel deeply misunderstood, and carry an inner heaviness because you feel like no one really knows you. Maybe you're not quite sure who you are yet. It's showing as depression, anxiety, loneliness and avoidance. You don't have to keep trying to just be better and figure it out it all out on your own. I'm here to offer support and empower you on your journey towards self love, connection, and peace.

Very often we find ourselves having the same arguments all the time in our personal relationships.
I work with teens struggling with low grades, having issues with fitting into a new culture or environment, perhaps also dealing with family and marital friction at home. All this distress can exhibit itself as behavior problems, eating disorders, and experimentation with drugs and alcohol. I also have extensive experience with young children, suffering from anxiety, depression, separation, and feelings of abandonment.

I began working as a therapist in community-based mental health, where I received great experience with families, couples, individuals, and children.
I work from an integrative and holistic approach, meaning that I use the best tools to fit my client’s needs. Although I pull from different perspectives, I lean towards Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Most of my clients come in struggling with their closest relationships - with their partners, parents, kids, colleagues and/or friends.
I bring a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches (EMDR, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based) to my work, all designed to shift negative emotions, beliefs and patterns, and strengthen internal resources. Working extensively with both couples and individuals, I understand the gifts and challenges that intimate relationships bring to our lives.

Additionally, I offer partnership therapy for neurodivergent & queer partners wanting to develop attunement, build connection, deal with conflict, or work towards repair.
I support neurodivergent, queer, and questioning folks in recalibrating overworked nervous systems, working with big feelings related to social, political, and ecological issues, processing (inter)personal experiences, and orienting towards liberation in its many forms. My clients seek to unmask, feel deeper relational authenticity, increase internal awareness (interoception), or feel more in control by shifting from difficult thought patterns towards a sense of self-compassion, creativity, and observation. My work is deeply influenced by lived and listened-to grassroots experiences and the natural world.

This can show up in different ways — jealousy or insecurity in relationships, constant worrying, intrusive thoughts, problematic coping strategies, parenting stress, fear of meeting new people, difficulty making decisions, or going over the same thoughts again and again even after you’ve tried to let them go.
My style is warm and straightforward. I use practical, evidence-based approaches (including Exposure and Response Prevention, commonly used for anxiety and OCD) to help calm the thought loops and make daily life feel more manageable.

My clients work in a variety of professions, from artists to tech executives, and I understand the challenges of a demanding career in the modern age. FAQ - About Couples Therapy
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
