For 12 years I've supported clients through grief and relational wounds, including hospice-based bereavement care, blending depth-oriented and trauma-informed approaches.
My clients are people who may have many of the things society says should create a fulfilling life, yet behind polished exteriors they feel worn down - tired, anxious, or unsure how to break old relationship patterns that keep repeating. They often carry quiet self-doubt, people-pleasing, or a fear of not being enough. They want to feel grounded, understood, and connected in a way that feels safe and real. They come to therapy longing for clarity, steadiness, and healthier relationships, knowing deep down that they’re ready for healing and a more authentic way of being.

I work with adults who are struggling and need a space to be heard, understood and want to develop the skills to "hear" their inner voice and move through their lives in a grounded way that can honor their choices. Many of my clients experience emotional, psychological or physical stressors. I help them develop a sense of safety in their bodies, reclaim their voice, and learn to love and value themselves as their most authentic selves. If you are looking for an AI free zone (no technology listening, no required diagnoses, no electronic chart), I can provide paper charts. Some insurance don't allow this, so this is cash pay.

Together we address anxiety, burnout, grief, and identity shifts, creating space for clarity, steadiness, and a deeper connection to yourself.
My clients are often in the middle of a life transition that has quietly reshaped how they see themselves and their role in the world. Many are caregivers or the steady one for others, while feeling overwhelmed, stretched thin, or disconnected inside. In therapy, we make sense of what feels tangled, process what’s been carried for too long, and create space for you to reconnect with yourself. From there, we begin to move forward with more clarity, steadiness, and a deeper sense of self-trust.

I have 10+ years of experience and training using this approach to treat anxiety, panic, PTSD and depression and the underlying issues that contribute to these such as trauma, grief and anger.
Perhaps you are dealing with painful events outside of your control, your emotions are becoming unmanageable, or you are experiencing a new symptom that is sudden and overwhelming. It is very human to want to "feel normal" when dealing with these, but sometimes how we attempt to do this hurts us more. This could include the different ways we avoid our emotions, attempt to “be perfect" or negatively judge ourselves. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) I will help you identify and change ways of thinking and behaving that are impacting your mental health.

If you struggle with how your past continues to impact who you are today, you are ready and willing to take concrete steps to process it; let's talk. Your past wounds do not have to control how you are experiencing your life today. I want to learn what happened to you and go beyond a diagnosis that may have been given to you. I specialize in treating complex trauma/PTSD and dissociation. My ideal clients are motivated and actively engaged in their own healing journey. I truly believe we are the 'placebo factor' in this process, and this is also backed by science, and a therapist is a witness to this process.

Grief Therapists
How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
