In addition to determining compatibility in couples through testing, I also use testing to investigate for learning problems, ADHD , neuropsychological symptoms, emotional difficulties, and possible alternative careers.
HOW I WORK: During the first consultation, I learn about my client's primary concerns. If he or she wants to learn practical tools to cope better, I use cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, such as relaxation and assertiveness training. If the client wants to work more deeply on issues that interfere with living a happier, more fulfilling life, I use psychodynamic psychotherapy. STRENGTHS AND INTERESTS: I often work with people who have health problems because anxiety and depression cause or exacerbate many physical disabilities. Relaxation techniques and hypnosis can help minimize pain and anxiety.

Is Your Teen Struggling Socially or Emotionally? Let me put any challenges your teen or family may be facing into perspective, and offer you fresh solutions you may not have previously considered. As an experienced Teen Therapist, I can assist you in finding solutions to problems at home or at school, and teach your teen the skills they need to thrive. I am a clinical psychologist who works with children and adolescents in individual and group psychotherapy, and I conduct neuropsychological and educational evaluations. I am interested in working with individuals on developing healthy relationships with self, family, peers, and school. My clients appreciate how we work together to uncover what they want and what's getting in the way; define values and move towards a life aligned with those values; answer a calling instead of being discouraged by comparisons; understand the source of feelings in order to address core concerns; and ultimately build a life worth living. Whether it's addiction, anxiety, depression, relational issues, trauma or something else... my clients are looking to heal so that their reactions to the world are not programmed by past wounds, and they are instead able to deal with the present moment appropriately.

I am Native American and my tribe is Navajo. Growing up on the reservation was not easy. Despite my own hardships, I use my resilience to help others who also experience their own trauma and/or issues that occur throughout their life. I have a passion for working with people who are in need or may just need someone to talk to. My experiences continue to allow me to be creative, innovative, to become self-aware and open-minded so I can collaborate and communicate effectively with a diversity of individuals.

ADHD Therapists
Some children and adults with ADHD find it difficult to concentrate on tasks at school or work and may daydream frequently. Children with ADHD may become disruptive, defiant, or have trouble getting along with parents, peers, or teachers. Children who struggle with hyperactivity and impulsivity, in particular, often have behavioral challenges that can be difficult for adults to manage. Adults, on the other hand, may be more likely to report feeling restless or fidgety; if they struggle with impulsivity, they may make rash decisions that adversely affect their life. For both children and adults, executive functioning (planning, emotional regulation, and decision-making) is often affected as well. Many children and adults display either hyperactive or inattentive symptoms of ADHD, but it’s also possible for both sets of symptoms to exist together, in what is typically called combined type ADHD.
