I believe that the greatest gift I can offer as a therapist is to hold a safe space for clients to explore any and all of their feelings, beliefs, and ideas without judgement. I am passionate about connecting with clients through an integrative and holistic approach that equally values their thoughts, emotions,
spirituality
, bodies, cultures, identities, and diverse experiences. In addressing these various parts of individuals I aspire to help them validate and explore their experiences as opportunities for growth and healing.

I want you to be free of emotional pain, able to deal with life on life's terms, and to find meaning/purpose in work, family, friendships,
spirituality
, and all other life areas.
Spouses- I'm happy to talk with your partner about couples therapy to make it less scary, help them feel heard, and help them get on board. Life can be painful. Therapy doesn't have to be. Many people see therapy as one-sided, with little opportunity for interaction or getting to experience each other as real people. I can promise you that I am as real as it gets! I want to help you achieve the solutions and life changes you are looking for while enjoying the process as much as possible. Calling a therapist can be intimidating, but I hope you will take a moment (and maybe a deep breath) to call and see how I can help.

I most enjoy helping young women who identify as Christians actually experience the peace and joy that the Bible talks about. They are tired of cycling through anxiety and depression and want more from life and more from their faith.

“We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them” - Albert Einstein; For several years a major focus in my practice has been working with high functioning individuals affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families. But, this hasn’t limited the breadth of my professional activities. People come to me with the “common cold” conditions of anxiety and depression as well, and for help with OCD. I provide psychological/ neuropsychological assessments for diagnostic clarity or to support applications for accommodations at work or school, public benefits, and for treatment planning.

*Be more Conscious *Become Whole *Be Who You Seek to Be! Life is often challenging and finding a well matched professional is tough. As a Jungian Analyst in-training (IAAP), most of my clients seek help with life transitions: Mid-life & Quarter-life stresses, and the associated anxiety/depression that complicates. Typically, feelings include emptiness, dissatisfaction, despair, and a need for deeper meaning. Together we'll address the void with care and a symbolic perspective that unfolds a new relationship with the self and the Eternal. The process opens new opportunities while expanding consciousness!

My clients tend to be highly reflective individuals who have already begun a journey of self-discovery- either through therapy, spiritual / psychedelic practice, or self-study. They often have core wounds holding them back from cultivating the meaning and joy they are deeply seeking in their lives. As a therapist, my role is to cultivate a container of trust that allows the client to access their innate inner wisdom. Together, we utilize a range of therapeutic modalities to support the client's somatic healing and increase their capacity to sit in a state of radical acceptance. If this approach resonates, reach out!

We all have ups and downs and those downs can come with a lot of pain. I am passionate about helping clients gain insight, create healthier relationships, and navigate difficult life transitions. Being of Hispanic descent and speaking Spanish fluently allows me to provide services in Spanish as well as connect with culturally sensitive topics that can come up during sessions.

It is a true honor to be able to provide a warm and safe space for healing. In therapy, we work collaboratively to discover whatever you may be facing and find transformation through identifying thoughts and behavior patterns that may be interrupting access to your essential self. Together we will disentangle from old patterns and invite healthier choices through authentic connection to get closer to what lies beneath the surface.

The act of coming to therapy is a brave one, and you should commend yourself for doing it – you are taking proactive steps to create the life you want. I view therapy as an opportunity for you to evaluate the stories you and others tell about who you are, identify the storylines that are not serving you, and construct new narratives that focus on your strengths which can help you take a more active stance in your life. This process is simple but powerful, and I believe deeply that it can help all of us isolate and move past the problems that have worked their way into our lives, helping us to reclaim our power.

Spirituality Therapists
What should I expect from therapy that incorporates a focus on spirituality?
Spirituality can mean different things to different individuals, depending on their experiences, beliefs, and life histories. Some individuals focus on strengthening their belief system, while others experience spirituality in secular ways, such as through meditation, yoga, or by spending time in nature. Clients can expect a therapist to help guide and grow their spirituality through any of these techniques, encouraging the individual to cope with the challenges they face and develop strategies to build resilience and purpose to improve their outlook in life.
What are the most common treatments that include spirituality?
There are several treatments that incorporate spirituality. Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) helps a person examine and reframe their negative thoughts and behaviors. Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) focuses on emotional acceptance and psychological flexibility. Existential therapy is most often used to address anxiety, depression, grief, loneliness, apathy, despair, questions of identity, and feelings of purposelessness and existential dread. Transpersonal therapy focuses on a client’s spirituality and meaning in life and may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork.
Can therapy incorporating spirituality help atheistic or agnostic individuals?
Yes. For non-believers, spirituality can offer benefits including a greater sense of connection to others and to the natural world. An interest in spirituality may also spur individuals to pursue mindfulness practices, or to contemplate their purpose in life and how to achieve it.
How effective is spirituality as a therapeutic remedy?
Research suggests spirituality is generally beneficial for individuals. It is correlated with better health habits, such as less substance use, and an improved capacity to cope with stress and other mental health challenges. Increased spirituality can lead individuals to become more empathic and less materialistic, as well.
