I believe in the importance of compassion, empathy, warmth, kindness, and occasionally even humor in the therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a nonjudgmental, safe space for clients to process challenging emotions and experiences. I like to be active in the therapeutic conversation rather than the "blank-slate therapist." I have experience working with adults, teens and children facing life transitions, relationship issues, grief and loss, chronic illnesses, depression, and anxiety. My approach is both client-centered and solution-focused, while incorporating other treatment modalities based on client needs.
