Based on your needs, I will individualize my approach using practices such as Brainspotting, Attachment Focused EMDR, mindfulness, cognitive therapy, energy psychology, biofeedback, somatic therapies and the Enneagram Personality Style System.
Whether you are dealing with an unexpected change, trauma, anxiety, health challenge, relationship stress, depression or other mental health issue, having a trusted guide on the path can make all the difference. Over the past 25 years I have found mind body therapies get to the root of where we get stuck and allow for positive change.

I most often use Internal Family Systems, Brainspotting, and ACT, but tailor treatment to the client's needs and preferences.
I’m passionate about helping people feel more at peace with themselves and the world around them. Life can be messy and complicated, and therapy is a place where we can make sense of it together. Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years teaching film studies. I’ve always been fascinated by stories—the ones told on screen and the ones we carry inside.

I use EMDR, ACT, Brainspotting, and Polyvagal Theory to help you understand patterns and tap into your natural capacity to grow and heal.
Reflex habits, relationship anxiety or avoidance, and past trauma can make it hard to feel safe, seen, or confident in your ability to do life. Together, we can dedicate time and space to untangling these patterns, strengthening your connection with yourself and others, building your capacity to handle tough moments, and taking small but meaningful risks that feel aligned with who you truly are—so you can live an authentic life that you’re proud of.

Areas of advanced training include but are not limited to Brainspotting, the quick pulse (by Jo Dunning), codependence and abuse recovery, emotional freedom technique, Matrix Reimprinting, cognitive and psychodynamic psychotherapy, poetry therapy, marital and family therapy, sexual therapy, focused mindfulness, quantum entrainment, and spiritually focused therapy.
I tailor each session according to the client's needs. One size does not fit all. I recognize the importance of how the body, mind, and emotions work together to find ways to cope, and what no longer serves as new tools are put into place.

We may incorporate Brainspotting, which allows access to deep, often unconscious material stored in the body and brain, Attachment-based work to gently explore how early relationships shape current patterns, Polyvagal informed therapy, Parts-work, like Inner Child or IFS-inspired models, and Somatic tracking and resourcing to help reconnect and build capacity for regulation and presence.
When we start working together, we’ll take time to really understand what’s been weighing on you, what keeps getting in the way and what you’re hoping for in your life. From there, we’ll create a plan that feels clear, doable and genuinely supportive. I pay close attention to the survival strategies you’ve built over time—often ones that once protected you but now feel limiting—and we’ll work together to gently shift the patterns that no longer serve you. My approach is relational, warm and grounded in trauma-informed and somatic work. So instead of staying only in conversation, we’ll slow down and notice what’s happening inside

I often incorporate mind-body connection techniques, Brainspotting, and CBT to help you better understand your emotions, reduce distress, and create lasting change.
My ideal clients are individuals, couples, and families who feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or exhausted from carrying so much on their own. Many struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship issues, parenting stress, postpartum concerns, or difficult childhood experiences. Often they appear high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed and lost inside. I provide a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental space to process experiences, build coping skills, improve communication, strengthen self-esteem, and create lasting change.

"It's not forgetting that heals. It's remembering." - Amy Greene. My area of focus is working with women and men who want to heal their mind and bodies from negative or traumatic experiences. Forgetting is not always an option because our bodies do remember. Common symptoms and complaints that can be related to traumatic events may be anxiety or depression, irritability and anger, frequent headaches, stomach-aches and fatigue. It can be difficult and overwhelming to reach out for support, but "forgetting" may no longer feel like an option for you.

Lately, you’ve been reacting in ways that don’t feel like you. Your snapping faster, overthinking everything, struggling to relax even when you get a moment. You keep telling yourself you should be able to handle this, but something feels off. Whether you’re pregnant, postpartum, or deep in motherhood, things feel louder, harder, and more constant than they used to. You’re still showing up, but quietly wondering, "what is happening to me?" I help moms in this exact place slow things down, make sense of what’s underneath, and start feeling steady again.

Brainspotting Therapists
How does brainspotting work?
Brainspotting works by using eye positioning to identify and process traumatic memories so that a client is better able to move forward and live with less fear. The theory behind brainspotting is that by identifying where a person looks when thinking of traumatic memories, a therapist will be able to guide them to focus on that spot and work with the client to get them out of the “fight, flight, freeze” response associated with the traumatic memory.

Is brainspotting an evidence-based therapy?
Brainspotting is a theory-based alternative therapy. It is one of the newest forms of treatment, so very little research has been completed that examines the mechanism by which it works. The theory behind brainspotting is that eye position can be linked to areas of the brain that store and process memory.

How effective is brainspotting?
Because it is such a new treatment, the effectiveness of brainspotting cannot be quantified. Some people have found it to be effective on its own, or in conjunction with other types of therapy. It is considered an alternative therapy, and it is popular with people for whom more traditional therapies have proven ineffective.

How long does brainspotting take to work?
A typical brainspotting session will last between 60 to 90 minutes. There is no required number of sessions needed to complete brainspotting therapy, but in many cases it is delivered over the course of about six sessions. Clients are encouraged to rate their level of distress prior to a session and again following a session, and to track progress.
