Do you feel more like roommates or co-parents than partners? Do you keep having the same painful fights, with one of you carrying the emotional load while the other feels like nothing they do is ever enough? Maybe you love each other but feel lonely, disconnected, or unsure how to find your way back. And when you try to communicate it ends up feeling worse. If staying together for the kids, your history, or fear of divorce isn’t enough anymore, I help couples create the deeper connection, safety, and closeness they’re longing for.

A lot of my work is with people who are used to holding a lot. Maybe you’re a high achiever, the dependable one, or someone who’s spent years doing what you’re “supposed” to do - but lately you’re exhausted, anxious, burned out, or noticing your body carrying the stress too. I also work with parents who are finding that parenthood looks a whole lot different than the blissful version we’re sold in Pampers commercials. Therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of what you’re carrying, and work through the stuff that’s been hanging around for a long time.

Whether you’re a parent feeling stretched too thin, a professional facing burnout, or a couple going through a difficult season, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and move forward with intention.
I specialize in working with individuals and couples during times of transition—those moments when stress, uncertainty, or disconnection can feel overwhelming. Together, we’ll explore what’s no longer working, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical tools you can use outside of session.

I support first-gen women of color who are navigating workplace stress, self-doubt, and life transitions. Many of my clients carry high expectations while feeling unseen or misunderstood, navigating environments that were not built with them in mind. You may find yourself questioning your place or belonging at work while balancing pressure to succeed, or struggling to feel seen and included in family or friendship dynamics. Therapy offers a space to build confidence, set boundaries, and define success on your own terms.

Together, we’ll create tools that work for your real life, while fostering self-advocacy and radical self- acceptance.
My name is Beyza, my pronouns are she/her. As the eldest daughter in an immigrant family, I understand the quiet exhaustion of being “the responsible one.” The one who held it all together, translated between parents and siblings, kept the peace, got the grades, and rarely disappointed anyone—even when it cost you connection with yourself. Many of my clients grew up being the mediator, the caretaker, or the achiever, only to find that their needs were overlooked and their anger misunderstood. Beneath the calm exterior, they often carry deep grief and unspoken rage that no one seems to notice.

Welcome! My passion is helping couples and individuals create the life and relationships they truly desire. Most couples face just a few "core" issues that resurface repeatedly, often leading to painful patterns of criticism, defensiveness, and withdrawal. I am here to help you break those cycles and regain feelings of connection, trust, and intimacy.
With over 30 years of experience specializing in Imago Relationship Therapy, my approach is both structured and flexible. I will coach you to reduce negativity—like blame and withdrawal—and replace it with effective communication and the skills needed to ask for what you truly need.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.
What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.
Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.
How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
