We frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy in our practice.
We help kids, teens, and young adults who struggle with anxiety gain the confidence they need to put themselves out there and build healthy relationships. Our clients struggle just like you and your kids do. Despite being bright, academically high achieving, and able to seemingly balance it all, life is still hard. When they first come in, they are in a relentless cycle of never feeling “good enough” and are stuck comparing themselves to everyone else. They may start their day with reserved hope as they head to school, and come home a total wreck. You are doing your best, but you don’t always know the right thing to say.

Seeking out support for yourself or for your child is a courageous act, and one that is full of hope. Childhood and parenting can be tremendously challenging, and you do not need to figure out all of the pieces alone. I would be honored to work alongside you, providing a safe environment to share your story, gently face and move through challenges, and develop solutions that will bring you and your child relief and allow you both to thrive.

My approach is tailored to you, drawing from NVC, DBT, CBT, attachment and family-systems work, mindfulness, somatic awareness, role-play, and Gottman-informed tools.
You may be carrying more than others can see: overwhelm, anxiety, sadness, intense emotions, disconnection, or the sense that your relationships and daily life do not reflect who you are, what you want, or what you know you are capable of. Therapy can be a place to pause, feel understood, and get curious about what lies beneath the struggle. Together, we build practical tools for communication, connection, and change. I support teens, adults, couples, and families, including ADHD, autistic, polyamorous, ENM, LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and other nontraditional relationship clients.

Using approaches like CBT, DBT, EMDR and EFT, we’ll work together to make small but meaningful shifts in your thoughts, emotions and actions—turning them into your personal victories.
Life’s ups and downs can feel overwhelming. Whether you’re facing unresolved pain, menopause transitions, intergenerational identity challenges, or body image concerns- healing is possible. Sometimes, we push through and get by, but over time, the weight of relationship challenges, life transitions, trauma or work, can become too much. Without a true sense of identity or belonging at different life stages, it’s even harder. Pretending everything is fine can be exhausting. Maybe you feel like you don’t fit in, or you are burnt out from carrying on. These experiences can leave you feeling anxious, drained, disconnected, and stuck.

Your anxiety loves to take charge- reviewing every message, over-analyzing every tone shift, and dissecting every “okay” that didn’t come with an exclamation point. It feels like your mind is constantly running in the background. Checking, double-checking, and questioning every little thing. Being on a date feels impossible when you’re replaying everything you said. And sometimes you’re anxious about your relationship even though, logically, nothing is off. However it hits you- overthinking, second-guessing yourself, or just feeling physically uneasy- you’re not stuck with it.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Therapists
Who is DBT for?
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?
The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behavior and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?
Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behavior, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?
Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioral change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behavior; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
