You came into a committed partnership knowing there would be peaks and valleys. You shared your dreams about the future together, creating a roadmap. You talked about whether or not you'd have children. You witnessed the differences between your family's of origin and wondered if it would get in the way of your togetherness. You shared some of your past and the wounds you might be carrying. Here you are, years into your partnership feeling disconnected, resentful, struggling with intimacy, and wondering if you will find a deep connection with one another again. What happened to the loving relationship you once had?

Life can feel overwhelming at times, especially when you are navigating major transitions, relationship changes, identity shifts, parenthood, emotional burnout, trauma, or the pressure of trying to hold everything together. I believe counseling should support the whole person, not just isolated symptoms or problems. Many of the clients I work with are looking for a space where they can feel emotionally safe, understood, and supported through the different seasons of life.

Life is relationship. Most people come to therapy because something in their relationships no longer feels the way they want it to. You may feel misunderstood by your partner, disconnected from your family, overwhelmed by work, or simply alone. You may long for more harmony, greater peace, or a deeper sense of connection. Whatever brings you here, you don't have to work through it alone. Together, we can explore what's getting in the way and help you move toward a life that feels more satisfying, connected, and true to who you are.

Do you feel out of sorts, weighed down, stressed by everyday life or by some specific issues that you don't seem to be able to resolve? I can help you identify what is getting in your way and preventing you from fulfilling your aspirations and reaching your goals. I'll help you focus on the alterations needed so your life becomes happy, serene and exciting. It is often how we think that prevents us from finding solutions. Talking things out with an empathic other helps, and friends do. But they often project themselves into your situation and give you advice from THEIR perspective . A therapist once told me that the difference between myself and others who don't seek help is my willingness to take action to change my life through facing my unhappiness and learning how to create a happier existence ... Willingness is the key to the gate of awakening. Courage is not the absence of fear, it is evolving while afraid, ending the revolving patterns that keep us stuck. "And the day came when the risk to stay tight in a bud was greater than the risk it took to blossom". Call me. Invest in yourself...your future.

Are you feeling stuck in your relationship, trying everything you can but ending up in the same painful patterns? Or are you worried about your teen, sensing something is off but not sure how to reach her? I work especially with women who are deeply invested in their relationships but feel emotionally exhausted, and teens who are struggling. When you are so close to the situation, it can be difficult to see clearly or know what will actually help. Therapy offers a space to slow down and understand what is happening, so you can move forward with a better sense of your next steps.

Relationships don't have to be this hard.
The solution may seem counterintuitive: Self-Love is the key to your best relationships — it starts with understanding and accepting yourself. Authentic Self-Love (not to be confused with narcissism) relaxes your energy, and in close relationships, we constantly feel each other's energy and react to it. When you're negative, it leaks out as criticism, defensiveness, stonewalling, or contempt — the patterns renowned researcher Dr. John Gottman found so telling that, with all four present, he could predict divorce with up to 93% accuracy.

FAQ - Co-Parenting Counseling
What happens in co-parenting counseling?
Co-parenting usually refers to the shared responsibility of raising a child after parents separate or divorce. Even when both parents want what is best for their child, co-parenting can bring stress, conflict, and major adjustment for the whole family. In co-parenting counseling, a therapist helps parents work through these challenges. Common topics in co-parenting counseling include communication difficulties, parenting differences, and their child’s well-being. In many cases, co-parents attend counseling sessions together, allowing the counselor to help them practice communication and problem-solving in “real-time”. Depending on the situation, one or both parents may also meet individually with the therapist before or during the counseling process.
How do I know if co-parenting counseling is right for our situation?
In most cases, co-parenting counseling is voluntarily sought by parents; however, it may also be court-ordered in certain family law cases. When counseling is not required, there is no single sign that a family “needs” it. Some parents begin counseling early to help everyone adjust to new roles, routines, and expectations before any more significant conflict emerges. Counseling may be especially helpful, however, when parents are dealing with ongoing communication problems, repeated disagreements about parenting decisions, or difficulty helping a child adjust between homes. If the same issues keep coming up despite your efforts to resolve them, co-parenting counseling can offer a more structured and supportive way to move forward.
Do both parents have to agree to attend co-parenting counseling?
If co-parenting counseling is court-ordered, it may be required that both parents attend counseling for an allotted amount of time. However, for those voluntarily seeking co-parenting counseling, it is up to you and your counselor to decide who will attend sessions. Many therapists encourage both parents to attend sessions, but if one parent is particularly reluctant, unavailable, or if there are safety concerns, one parent may choose to attend counseling on their own. Individual support can still help a parent improve their own communication skills, set boundaries, and respond to co-parenting challenges more effectively.
How do I bring up co-parenting counseling to a reluctant co-parent?
It can help to frame co-parenting counseling around your child’s well-being, rather than blame or criticism toward the co-parent. For example, you might say that you want to create more consistency for the child across households or help the child navigate school challenges in a more effective way. Timing also matters when bringing up the topic of counseling. It is usually best not to raise the idea during an argument or moment of high tension. Instead, choose a calm time, and offer the other parent a say in choosing the therapist, scheduling sessions, or deciding what goals to focus on in sessions.
