You didn’t get to where you are by accident—but you still don’t always trust your own judgment. You reach career goals, support others, and look like you’ve got it all together, yet still feel stuck in self-doubt, burnout, or emotional patterns you thought you outgrew. I help high-achieving women untangle the perfectionism that leads to overwhelm, the fear that blocks boundaries, and the relationship struggles that leave them feeling alone—even when they’re not. I have a special interest in helping women who are seeking to turn their adhd into a superpower rather than a saboteur.

You're tired of pretending everything is fine when inside, it's not. Maybe you're constantly anxious, emotionally numb, or stuck in the same painful patterns- in relationships, in your work, or just with yourself. You've tried coping, pushing through or staying busy, but it's no longer working. You're looking for real change- not just temporary relief.

You may appear to be holding everything together while privately feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or trapped in the same painful patterns. Trauma, relationship wounds, anxiety, depression, grief, or major life changes may be affecting how safe you feel, how you connect with others, and how you see yourself. Perhaps you understand why you struggle but still cannot seem to change it. Therapy can offer a place to slow down, feel genuinely understood, and begin making sense of what you have been carrying. You do not have to keep navigating it alone.

Working through difficult experiences and emotions can be challenging. It can be even harder to make desired changes in ones life when certain patterns have been established for so long. I work hard to ensure that my clients feel safe and supported throughout this process. By creating a comfortable and lighthearted environment, individuals, families, and couples are able to gain some reprieve from the difficulties they are experiencing. This allows change to begin to occur in the lives of my clients.

Hi there, I'm LuAnn, a licensed clinical social worker. I have been in practice for over 20 years. I help individuals with issues like depression, anxiety, relationship issues, aging, life coaching, and more. I utilize CBT, IFS, Therapeutic Tapping for anxiety, EMDR, and supportive and empowering treatment modalities. One of my goals is not to create blame but to open up to self-compassion as a way to move forward. I help people explore their past as a way of providing information that will help you create new possibilities. The past does not have to define you; your actions, dreams, and hopes will move you forward on your journey.

I work with individuals who are carrying a great deal internally, even if others may not realize it. I have a special focus on working with emerging adults and student-athletes navigating identity shifts, burnout, and the transition into adulthood. This often includes feeling uncertain about who you are outside of achievement, sport, academics, or external expectations, especially when the structures that once defined you begin to change or fall away. As a former Division I collegiate athlete, I understand the intensity of performance-driven environments and how deeply they can shape identity, self-worth, and emotional experience.

I work with individuals and couples who feel stuck in painful relationship patterns, especially after betrayal, infidelity, or a breakdown in trust. Many are high-functioning in other areas of life but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward in their relationships. I also work with military members and spouses navigating major transitions that impact identity, connection, and emotional wellbeing. Together, we make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface and create a path forward with clarity.

I am passionate about therapy that produces lasting, inner healing! I use a combination of several psychological theories, depending on what will best meet my client's needs, including ImTT and EMDR, to help clients experience healing and change in the places where their pain originated. This not only creates symptom reduction and/or extinction but also produces an outcome of inner peace, joy and freedom, putting an end to trying harder, pretending or "white-knuckling" through. I love this work and look forward to connecting with you in your journey toward emotional wholeness!

Codependency Therapists
What therapy types help with codependency problems?
Both couples and family therapy and cognitive and behavioral therapy (CBT) can help with the relationship difficulties referred to as codependency. Such problems typically include inappropriate feelings of responsibility for a loved one’s destructive behavior, irrational patterns of thinking about such behavior, and family interaction patterns in which the needs of one troubled member override the needs of others in a household.

What happens in therapy for codependency?
Spouses and family members learn and practice how to interact and support each other in a healthy way without sacrificing their own needs or well-being. They learn the limits of their responsibility for their loved ones and correct faulty patterns of thinking and feeling that underlie codependent behavior. Individuals may be encouraged to nurture an array of social relationships and to cultivate their own talents and interests so that they develop a healthy sense of self outside the family.

How does therapy help a person or couple overcome codependency?
Therapy helps people establish healthy ways of being in a relationship. Spouses and family members learn how to nurture and support one another without sacrificing their own needs or allowing the needs of one person to dominate the dynamic. Individuals learn how to say no and set boundaries, and how to maintain their own identity and self-esteem. Therapy helps people understand that they are not responsible for the feelings and actions of others. It also helps individuals deal with the turbulence that can come from living with a person suffering from such conditions as substance abuse and mental illness.

What is the goal of therapy for codependency?
One goal of therapy for codependency is to alleviate feelings of responsibility for and correct irrational patterns of thinking about loved ones whose behavioral problems override the needs of others in a household. Therapy helps people establish healthy boundaries of behavior and speak up for their own needs in a relationship. In addition, people learn how to maintain a healthy relationship, one in which both parties give and receive equally and are able to retain their own identity.
