I specialize in helping people work through relationship struggles and difficulty building healthy love relationships.
Sometime you get to a point where you feel really stuck, and unable to figure out how to make a change or how to feel better. Whether its persistent anxiety, sadness, or something else, it can help to figure out what the root of the struggle is about. I like to focus on childhood attachments, passed down generational traumas, and experiences in your life that has laid down patterns that are hard to break out of. Sometimes we need to understand the why, then it's easier to figure out a way through. But you don't have to do that alone, and honestly we weren't made to handle our problems in isolation. Everyone needs support.

Therapy is not "one size fits all," but rather a united relationship based on connection, compassion, and trust.
Society and social media tell us that we should look, feel, & act a certain way to be accepted. Often times we don’t fit those expectations & feel like an outsider; other, different, or even less than. If you feel anxious, depressed, lonely, have a difficult relationship with food and/or struggle with body image, you’re not alone. I am here to offer support, acceptance, non-judgment, & provide effective tools to help you live life w/more balance, fulfillment, & less conflict. I see adolescents & adults living w/various mental health challenges & going through life transitions. I specialize in eating disorders, anxiety, & trauma.

I believe that living your life authentically is a core of life satisfaction. Sometimes our trauma, loss, or worry makes us avoid living in a truly authentic way. These experiences can lead to post traumatic stress, depression, and/or anxiety. I care about who you are intrinsically, and will work with you to process those painful experiences, cope with anxiety, and reach a point where life feels manageable again. I won't push people to relive bad experiences, but I will work to establish a safe space to share and explore your needs at your own pace.

It is so exhausting living inside a traumatized body and mind. Anxiety that seems to come out of nowhere; thoughts, feelings, and the overwhelm of re-experiencing events. Feelings of unsafety or a constant need to be hyperaware. Insomnia, changes in appetite make matters worse because the body and mind don't get the needed fuel and rest leading to cycles of collapse. The anxiety and collapse cycle can cause us to feel disconnected from ourselves, loved ones and the world. We can lose trust in our own judgment and ability to heal. My approach is informed by a holistic integration of practices to help reconnect mind, body and soul.

I work with people on a body, spirit, mind approach to mental wellness. For so long, it was believed that the mind came first, and we could talk or think our way into feeling better. My approach is looking at mental wellness from a different direction. The Body Approach: I use several somatic therapy interventions to help create safety within the body, so clients can manage their symptoms and make the changes they want in their lives. We work together to understand the states of the nervous system and apply calming techniques that work for you, such as mindfulness, movement, tapping, sound, and breath.

I believe in evaluating each person for who they are, and examining how their own life story has contributed to their challenges and problems in the present. It is important to look at the stressors/triggers that are making each person react the way they do, and develop new perspectives and better choices for the present and the future. I help each person identify self-sabotaging actions and in developing a better course for coping and living. Additionally, I believe it is important to learn how to continue to grow within yourself and in all types of relationships.
