I understand the burden of patriarchy. I really get it. Whether you're a man taught to suppress emotion, a woman expected to carry too much without complaint, or someone who doesn’t fit traditional roles at all—those expectations run deep and take a toll. If you're a man, maybe you've felt the pressure to stay strong, silent, be the provider. Maybe those roles feel unrealistic or unsustainable. Maybe it’s been hard to find the words—or harder to trust that someone will actually listen.

“Imperfection is not our personal problem – it is a natural part of existing.” (Tara Brach). I understand that life can be challenging and has its “faults” but it's simply how we choose to manage it. We might often beat ourselves up for lack of follow-through, discipline, or motivation. As Tara Brach stated, we are humans, and being imperfect is a natural part of life. We might fail to realize that being human means making mistakes. While working closely together, I intend to create a space where you can be unapologetically yourself, and not worry about the “shoulds” in life.

"We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty." (Maya Angelou) I understand that as we experience life we will inevitably encounter obstacles and stressors that challenge us to change. I also believe these moments present opportunities for transformation. I recognize that life transitions and personal experiences can sometimes be overwhelming, however they can also be valuable seasons with the potential to generate "peak and valley" experiences that can alter our life course.

You’ve spent so long centering others, you’ve forgotten how to show up for yourself. In relationships, that looks like suppressing your feelings, lacking boundaries, and putting everyone else first ... even at your own expense.
Sis, what if I told you that you don’t have to lose yourself to be loved well? I’m here to help you love you, so you can love others in a healthy, balanced way. It’s time for emotional healing and relationships that feel safe, mutual, and true to who you are.

I offer both in-person and online sessions.
Starting therapy can feel nerve-wracking. It’s not easy to open up, especially if you’re used to keeping things together. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in old patterns, or navigating relationships that feel more confusing than supportive, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Maybe you’re struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, or self-doubt. Or perhaps you're holding a lot emotionally, trying to make sense of your inner world while still showing up for the demands of life. You might be facing tension in your family, disconnection to yourself and others. Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to do it alone.

Accepting new teen and adult clients, relationships, and families in person in Pasadena, Los Angeles and virtual via telehealth.
We all need to be seen & witnessed. Whatever it is that feels too hard—be it exploring identity, navigating attachment wounds, combating obsessional sequences, or processing the collective grief in the world—one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself is dedicated time just for you & your needs. I would be honored to walk with you on your path. For me, therapy is relational. The human on the other side of the room (or screen) should feel like precisely that: a human! Together, we will create a container in which you can authentically examine your relationships with others as well as the pivotal relationship to self.

I have been working as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for 13 years with an underlying curiosity and hope for more in the way of true connection to the self and the other with a focus on trauma and attachment related issues. Connection is much more than problem solving and communication skills, but rather an ability to feel safe, secure and seen. I began my practice in community mental health and and primarily with a focus on trauma of all kinds (attachment, emotional abuse and neglect, physical abuse, sexual assault, and sexual abuse) with a focus on attachment and somatic responses.
