Are you suffering from the effects of trauma in your life? Are you finding that talk therapy alone is not shifting patterns of mood and behavior? I am a holistic psychotherapist with specialized training in Somatic Experiencing and the Neuro-Affective Relational Model. You may feel as though you don't know who you are any more, that life has become burdensome, or maybe you have the sense that you were never really your authentic self to begin with. Perhaps you experience physiological and behavioral symptoms such as addiction, overwhelm, and isolation. This loss of connection to self/other is indicative of trauma. I can help you.
SE holds that trauma is energy that gets trapped and stored in the nervous system resulting in symptoms ranging from anxiety & depression to digestive & auto-immune disorders. It integrates body & mind and restores innate physiological processes. NARM addresses early unmet needs, and how we learn survival strategies that impact our attachment relationships.
As a holistic psychotherapist, I see all behavior as human behavior. I draw from a variety of psychological theories and view the therapeutic process from a number of perspectives that span from practical to mystical. I acknowledge people as individuals and in their cultural identity. I appreciate the diverse range that constitutes the human experience.
