You can’t pinpoint when it happened, but all of a sudden you don’t feel the same. You’re waking up feeling discontent and struggling to get out of bed. Sometimes you find yourself wondering what you’re doing with yourself… You don’t feel fulfilled at all. You think you should feel great - You have the job, the friends, likes and follows from your connections… yet you still feel alone. Your inner voice is telling you something is missing.

Seeking support can be difficult, especially if we become so accustomed to facing life's challenges alone. If we are able to reach out for support, taking that step can lead to real opportunities for growth and acceptance.

Welcome. I work with children, adolescents, and adults coping with relational, attachment, and anxiety disorders. In my practice, therapy often entails exploring the impact of early attachment experiences on our views of self and our ability to form close, meaningful relationships throughout life. In our work together, you will be treated with warmth, empathy, and openness. The most important part of our work is the development of a trusting relationship. This relationship creates a thoughtful, safe space to explore your strengths, challenges, and goals. My approach to clinical work is largely relational and psychodynamic.

I offer therapy as a reliable space where you can slow down, really meet your inner world and learn to relate to what you discover there. Your symptoms have a story to tell. They can cause suffering when you don’t understand their language, or what they're asking you to find out about yourself. When given the attention they ask for, your emotions can reconnect you to your instincts and guide you in useful directions. Jungian therapy works to help you face inward towards your imagination, where you can begin to recover and revive what feels dormant, lost, unworthy, or just undiscovered.

Therapy provides an opportunity to slow down amidst the rapid paces of our lives and look around to explore the ways we cope with difficulty. Ultimately, this teaches us more about who we truly are. Pain is inevitable in our lives, but it can function as a window into our truer, deeper selves. Contacting and nurturing the parts of ourselves that have been hurt, shamed, or neglected helps us to more fully embody our unique selves and find freedom from the constraints of our suffering.

While natural and unavoidable, grief comes in many forms at times deeply painful and isolating. The loss of a loved one, or something once cherished, can leave us feeling adrift and confused, uncertain about the future, and besieged with complex emotions ranging from great sorrow, helplessness, and anger, to guilt, relief, and apathy.

First of all, You are courageous. It is not easy to ask for help or be willing to look at patterns that are no longer serving you. I strive to provide an open unbiased environment to develop a comfortable therapist/client dynamic in order to begin processing past or current issues with a focus on goal setting and starting where you're at. Change happens when you believe it can happen and the only failure is in not trying. I strongly believe that there is no destination, only the journey and in focusing on the process and by being mindful, you can achieve anything.

You deserve a life that feels steadier, clearer, and more like your own. If you’re feeling stuck, burnt out, low, or disconnected, it may be a sign that something deeper needs attention. Many people reach a point where their usual ways of coping no longer work, and life begins to feel heavier or off track. I see symptoms like anxiety, depression, or substance use not as personal failures, but as meaningful signals—inviting us to slow down and better understand what’s going on beneath the surface.

Psychoanalytic Therapists
Does psychoanalytic therapy work?
Psychoanalytic therapy derives from the work of Sigmund Freud. In this type of therapy, discovering buried thoughts and emotions from the unconscious will help a person work through their difficulties and negative behaviors. Research shows that psychoanalytic therapy can be highly effective, with patients reporting improvement in mood, quality of life, and overall well-being.
How long are people typically in psychoanalytic therapy?
Traditional psychoanalysis is in-depth and is conducted in five sessions every week. Today, modern psychoanalytic therapy is less intense and normally incorporates as few as one or two sessions a week. In some cases, positive change can occur quickly. However, if the condition, difficulty, or behavior is deep-seated, improvement may require many months or years of therapy.
Is psychoanalytic therapy suitable for young people?
Children and adolescents can benefit from this type of therapy. Many kids and teens are often unable to form and communicate their thoughts and emotions. Psychoanalytic therapy uses specific techniques such as dream analysis, symbolism, and free association or word association; all of which can be useful tools for less-communicative young people. Through this therapy, a patient will hopefully make connections between what they feel inside and how the world works outside.
Can psychoanalytic therapy be done online?
Modern-day psychoanalytic therapy is very different from traditional psychoanalysis. While an individual can sit face-to-face with the psychoanalyst for multiple sessions a week, they do not have to. Today, psychoanalytic therapy can be effectively conducted online or by phone. The key is that the individual confronts what is repressed and avoided, and this can be done whether in person or over online video.
