I started as a Military marriage counselor in 1981, working on military deployment/separation concerns. I evolved into a Marriage and Family Therapist by the late 1980's and finally converted to Clinical Psychology by the mid-1990s. I completed my Doctorate in 2005 and have seen patients continually ever since. In 2021 I completed a Post Doctoral Master of Science in Psychopharmacology in preparation for psychologists being given prescriptive authority in all 50 states.

Hi there, I'm Nancy! For over 25 years, I've worked with the Superior Court of California in Alameda County, where I've had the privilege of recommending counseling, facilitating mediation, supporting families affected by domestic violence, and helping children navigate the challenges of separation. I've worked extensively with individuals struggling with addiction and helped guide them to recovery. In group therapy, I have supported artists to encourage them to work with passion and courage and to exhibit their artwork. Working with children is one of my pleasures. PsyD. LMFT.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California. I mainly work with adults, young adults, and adolescents and specialize in depression, anxiety, stress, and life transitions. I like using a calm, warm, and empathic approach to the work with my clients. My approach to therapy is person-centered. I like to tailor sessions to the needs of my client. I meet the client where they're at, while also challenging them and bringing awareness to certain thoughts/behaviors that may be impeding on their goals. I have a background in CBT and trauma-informed care.

I believe therapy should feel like a safe space where you can show up just as you are. I focus on supporting children, teens, and young adults as you navigate the ups and downs of growing up: from school stress, friendships, and family changes to the bigger transitions and pressures that come with becoming a young adult. Together, we’ll explore what’s been on your mind, reflect on what feels most important to you, and find practical ways to cope and grow. My goal is to walk alongside you with empathy and collaboration, creating a space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered.

We can all struggle with stressors at certain times and/or throughout our lives. My goal is to give you the space to explore freely about any problems, issues or concerns along with the successes that you are experiencing. Together we will then identify possible ways to better cope with the challenges life can throw at us.
