I work with clients looking to overcome and sustain changes in life. I've spent nearly four decades learning and teaching at the former St. Vincent’s Hospital dept. of Psychiatry in Manhattan’s West Village treating children, adolescents and adults. The issues: family crises; trauma; learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder, Asperger's syndrome; mood instability and the paralyzing effects of anxiety/panic. It takes grit, patience and faith in growth.
My primary goal is to set in motion and secure improvements. Those improvements are the product of dedication to progress; post graduate training and work with a diverse population of patients.
Experience has taught that simplifying treatment shortens its course. I seek to provide a sound nurturing space for all patients struggling with life's confusion, mood instability, anxieties. My work with children provides insights and a thorough knowledge of human development.

Groups
ADHD/Anxiety
The ADHD/Anxiety groups conducted at the Manhattan and Toms River locations and designed to help children improve: focus in school, peer family relationships and regulate anxiety. Group members learn to work together creatively to manage their symptoms in a comfortable and structured session. Parents are seen with patients before and after sessions to discuss weekly developments and reinforce achievements in session.
