Specializing in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, I have taught and mentored students in Public and International Schools for over 25 years. I hold a Masters in Teaching, BA in Psychology, NJ Teachers License and a Yoga and Mindfulness Teacher Certification. Currently, I serve in schools implementing my Mindfulness Curriculum and am a Youth Mindset Mentor. My mission is to self empower our youth with tools to self regulate and self heal.

I'm a licensed psychotherapist in PA and NJ, and the founder of Be Here Now Psychotherapy. I'm experienced in helping adult children with narcissistic parents, and those recovering from abusive romantic relationships. I specialize in treating Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), using psychodynamic therapy, IFS and TIST. My overarching area of expertise is trauma, complex trauma and PTSD. I hold a certificate in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy. I believe healing is a holistic endeavor, and depth psychology can be integrated with somatic work to unite body and mind to help us get to know ourselves on on many levels.

In my professional work I have learned to empathize deeply and to make observations and interpretations based on years of accumulated clinical knowledge and experience. While my professional training has been invaluable, my clients (and my colleagues, too) have been the most extraordinary teachers of life and healing. Through my work I have learned to be more open and compassionate and more fully human. This enables me to be a more effective facilitator in the healing process of psychotherapy. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) with over 30 years of experience in the mental health and recovery fields. I have been in private practice for the last 20 years. I am clinically well rounded, nonjudgmental, and fairly soul-seasoned as a human being, myself. I find the majority of my clients to be very psychologically and spiritually heroic/ inspiring. Many of them teach me important things about my own inner life journey. I am also a multiple trauma survivor and have been clean and sober for the last 38 years. I also specialize with codependents/ACOAs.

I had my first position as a counselor when I was just 20 and the compassion that lived through me then continues 48 years later. While developing professionally I enrolled in a personal individual and group training analysis and had a deep and caring experience as a patient. I consider it an incredible responsibility to practice as an integrative healer as I believe the therapeutic relationship is a privilege between two people. I continue to cultivate my personal practice, evolving throughout my life with an open heart, and open mind. My mother, and father remain central influences in my practice as a psychologist/psychoanalyst.
