My ultimate aim is to teach clients to become their own therapist. I facilitate self-reflection to gain insight into maladaptive thoughts and behaviors. I foster self-compassion, coping skills, and mental fortitude in facing stressors, problems, and crises. I believe in empowering clients to make positive changes beyond the near future and build resilience in facing challenges for a lifetime.

Despite having reached the pinnacle of my profession after nearly two decades of practice, it was my own struggle with learning disabilities, dual diagnosis and other medical conditions and issues, that changed my perspective and my life. I came to appreciate an approach which focuses on the here and now; solution focused and goal oriented. I found little solace in traditional therapeutic approaches which focused largely on the past, and went on for months with no real relief nor positive impact on my life or functioning. As such, I strive to help my clients achieve their goals and actualize their dreams using a coaching approach.

I work with individuals managing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, CEN, and trauma. My clients are provided unyielding support, wraparound care, resources, practical strategies, and meaningful active listening that encompasses reflection and interventions (when appropriate). I believe in creating a unique and tailor made therapeutic approach for each client. By utilizing an eclectic mix of practical evidence based methods we address the obstacles you are currently navigating and find tangible solutions, explore healthy coping mechanisms, and process feelings in a safe and therapeutic environment.

Although quite wonderful, sometimes being human is HARD. I'm licensed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania with over 20 years full-time, clinical experience. I utilize evidence-based modalities to assist clients in finding new ways to better manage emotions, bring balance back, and help when things get rough. My client's ages range from early adulthood through the elderly, 20-80+. i work with individuals, couples and families in a safe, collaborative environment of self-discovery and growth.
