I utilize evidence-based modalities to assist clients in finding new ways to better manage emotions, bring balance back, and help when things get rough. My client's ages range from early adulthood through the elderly, 20-80+. i work with individuals, couples and families in a safe, collaborative environment of self-discovery and growth.

One of the most important factors in the success of therapy is the creation of a safe, confidential space. In this setting an individual can express all the thoughts, feelings and beliefs which they often feel unable to share, for fear of judgement or disappointing others. Clients often relate a great sense of relief when they verbalize these difficult or confusing thoughts and find that they are supported and validated. Once these inner voices are freely and safely expressed a client can more effectively identify patterns of beliefs which limit or alter and often hinder their efforts to feel whole and at peace.

As a holistic psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience, I integrate left & right brain techniques to promote healing and well-being. I'm a registered yoga teacher, somatic and mindfulness practitioner, reiki healer, and artist. I'm passionate about expressive arts and the mind-body-spirit connection to help clients cultivate self-awareness, resilience, and inner joy. Thru yoga therapy, creative expression, and relaxation techniques, clients explore different aspects of themselves, fostering emotional healing and self esteem building. I also lead a structured virtual DBT group teaching emotion regulation skills to supplement.

In my professional work I have learned to empathize deeply and to make observations and interpretations based on years of accumulated clinical knowledge and experience. While my professional training has been invaluable, my clients (and my colleagues, too) have been the most extraordinary teachers of life and healing. Through my work I have learned to be more open and compassionate and more fully human. This enables me to be a more effective facilitator in the healing process of psychotherapy. I am a psychotherapist working with individuals, couples, and groups to help them resolve issues interfering with emotional and mental health. My aim is to help empower clients to live a fully conscious and meaningful life in harmony with the world around them. Using the techniques and training listed below I’ve helped clients manage and overcome relationship issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and other issues. I also have experience as an EMT, Buddhist chaplain, and prison counselor, so I bring diverse perspectives on health and the human condition to our work together.

Grounded in traditional evidence based therapy modalities learned while acquiring my LCSW, my additional education and certification in complementary and alternative medicine as well as spiritual psychology also allows us to explore additional creative and holistic methods to achieving overall wellness. My approach is to “meet clients where they are” with an initial goal of stabilization and helping the client to feel safety within themselves.

Despite having reached the pinnacle of my profession after nearly two decades of practice, it was my own struggle with learning disabilities, dual diagnosis and other medical conditions and issues, that changed my perspective and my life.
