Many teens today lack the coping skills that are necessary to address life’s ups and downs. They often feel disconnected emotionally, and are unable to handle stress, peer and relationship issues, or the school, college, or work environment. When a teen is struggling with academics, they receive tutoring or support to develop the skills they need to succeed. Emotional health is no different. I focus on finding solutions that help teens acknowledge and address what they are going through, and learn to navigate through. Whether they are exhibiting symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, or ADHD, I get to know the issues each client is dealing with. I examine their lifestyle as a whole, including their diet, sleep habits, and screen time.
When they leave my office, clients take with them a tool bag filled with the knowledge and skills they need to develop into successful adults – and deal with whomever and whatever life throws their way.
