My ultimate aim is to teach clients to become their own therapist. I facilitate self-reflection to gain insight into maladaptive thoughts and behaviors. I foster self-compassion, coping skills, and mental fortitude in facing stressors, problems, and crises. I believe in empowering clients to make positive changes beyond the near future and build resilience in facing challenges for a lifetime.

We all have a desire to be heard, to be understood, and to be soothed. We often yearn for more satisfying and loving relationships. In therapy, I will listen carefully to you as we sort through obstacles that may be preventing you from experiencing greater ease and happiness. I will bear witness to your life stories, acknowledge your successes and struggles, and help you to find renewed resilience, acceptance and change. I'm patient and open-minded, and provide an empathic therapy space. I believe true healing occurs when we take care of our whole self in mind, body and spirit.

One of the most important factors in the success of therapy is the creation of a safe, confidential space. In this setting an individual can express all the thoughts, feelings and beliefs which they often feel unable to share, for fear of judgement or disappointing others. Clients often relate a great sense of relief when they verbalize these difficult or confusing thoughts and find that they are supported and validated. Once these inner voices are freely and safely expressed a client can more effectively identify patterns of beliefs which limit or alter and often hinder their efforts to feel whole and at peace.

Although quite wonderful, sometimes being human is HARD. I'm licensed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania with over 20 years full-time, clinical experience. I utilize evidence-based modalities to assist clients in finding new ways to better manage emotions, bring balance back, and help when things get rough. My client's ages range from early adulthood through the elderly, 20-80+. i work with individuals, couples and families in a safe, collaborative environment of self-discovery and growth.

In my professional work I have learned to empathize deeply and to make observations and interpretations based on years of accumulated clinical knowledge and experience. While my professional training has been invaluable, my clients (and my colleagues, too) have been the most extraordinary teachers of life and healing. Through my work I have learned to be more open and compassionate and more fully human. This enables me to be a more effective facilitator in the healing process of psychotherapy. It is always a privilege to do emotional healing work with another human being--both of us are enriched.

In my experience as a therapist, I find that many people are looking for someone who will provide a safe space to talk, listen, and support them. My goal is to provide children, preteens/tweens, adolescents/teenagers, adults, and elders, as well as, families and couples with the skills and tools to help them reach their own personal goals. With these skills, you will become a better communicator, develop confidence, and utilize positive responses to daily life problems.

I am a psychotherapist working with individuals, couples, and groups to help them resolve issues interfering with emotional and mental health. With over 25+ years experience in counseling and psychotherapy, and specializing in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, he is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Dr. Oreski has presented at National conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of mental illness and trauma.

I had my first position as a counselor when I was just 20 and the compassion that lived through me then continues 48 years later. While developing professionally I enrolled in a personal individual and group training analysis and had a deep and caring experience as a patient. I consider it an incredible responsibility to practice as an integrative healer as I believe the therapeutic relationship is a privilege between two people. I continue to cultivate my personal practice, evolving throughout my life with an open heart, and open mind. My mother, and father remain central influences in my practice as a psychologist/psychoanalyst.
