I use Buddhist meditation techniques along with evidence based trauma therapies to help people break through these harmful patterns. I offer a variety of approaches including EMDR, IFS, and meditation/mindfulness techniques that are uniquely suited to treat trauma and associated issues such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and PTSD. Individual, family, and group therapy options are currently available.

I enjoy working with individuals, adolescents through seniors, of all gender identities, as well as couples and families; empowering clients and working towards overall well-being. My style of therapy is considered laid back and conversational but always tailored to what each individual needs and likes. I work collaboratively with those who are deeply curious about themselves and motivated to make deep, lasting change. My practice is LGBTQ-affirming and my specialties include depression, trauma, emotional neglect, and grief. I work with people who have endured all kinds of traumas and a wide range of life challenges. I am skilled in supporting teens and adults in all life stages who value living the examined life. Clients who seek me out are tired of repeating the same, destructive patterns and are ready for something new to emerge for themselves and their relationships.

I am licensed to see patients in both Kentucky and Indiana. I completed my PhD in Counseling Psychology with emphasis training in Behavioral Health and Spanish Counseling. I completed my post doctoral residency in general mental health with Veterans Affairs. I have specialty training in LGBTQ+ issues and trauma recovery; including certification in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD. I also specialize in psychological evaluations for varying issues including differential diagnosis, cross-sex hormone/surgery readiness, and disability.

I enjoy working with all client types, but take a particular interest in working together with women to help in the process of building and furthering their individual level of internal strength, confidence and empowerment. Working with family systems, parenting coaching, and partners dealing with divorce or separation is also a passion of mine.

With our world increasingly changing every day, feelings of ‘uncertainty’ are constantly on the rise. Often, we can find it difficult to consistently meet the challenges and demands of our given lifestyle. But add to this that we are frequently taken to task by a ‘surprise unknown’ or two: Lost jobs. Lost relationships. Health issues. Even a lost childhood pulling at you. Maybe all of the above, and then some! Of course, each of us tries to meet these unknowns to the best of our ability. And at times even our absolute best efforts won’t get us back on course.

I am a licensed LCSW/LCAC/LCADCA in Kentucky/Indiana with 7 years of clinical work experience and over 5 years of working with various populations. I attended Bellarmine University with a concentration in Psychology. I have a BSW and an MSSW from The Kent School of Social Work. I have experience in helping clients heal through stress, anxiety, substance abuse, childhood/lifetime trauma, PTSD, borderline personality, depression, self-esteem, family conflict, sexual dysfunction, professional career stress, and anger management.
