Adolescents (and adults) have many difficult issues to face as they transition through different phases of life. These issues are often compounded by trauma, low self-esteem, and problems within interpersonal relationships with peers and family. Therapy is a tool that can be used to help individuals identify and access inner strength to overcome life's hurdles.
I have over ten years of experience working with youth and adults in Oakland and surrounding neighborhoods of the Bay Area. My work has focused on counseling youth to be able to decrease symptoms of trauma and mood disorders through the use of cognitive behavioral and client-centered therapy.
I have extensive training and experience working with clients from a variety of ethnic and racial backgrounds, as well as members of the LGBT community. I have a sliding scale and see clients mostly on Fridays. I offer free phone consultations.
