My therapeutic approach focuses on my belief that when it comes to an individual’s life, they are the expert. However, managing that alone can be cumbersome and stressful. As a therapist, I’m interested in collaborating with you to discover what parts of your life you hope to keep or perhaps enrich and what factors you want to change. I look to combine my experience with my clinical knowledge to aid clients in their journey to becoming their best selves.
I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) combined with a strengths-based approach to support clients in understanding and accepting their circumstances, identifying and altering their maladaptive thought patterns, and helping them increase their self-awareness to highlight their inner strengths.
I place a high value on the counselor-client relationship to ensure you feel empowered to achieve your goals and learn new behaviors. My goal is to help you regulate your emotions and learn lifelong coping skills. With this, we can work towards achieving self-acceptance.
