Stress, self-doubt, and worry can be difficult enough to manage on our own when things are "normal," but when you add the impact of the recent events our society is dealing with they can seem overwhelming. Whether a teenager or an adult, stress and trauma can make us question who we are and what's important to us. Negative emotions and thoughts get in the way of our relationships with other people and make us feel like we aren't able to be the person we want to be. Therapy can be a wonderful tool to help you make changes which bring more control and confidence in to your life.
I seek to provide a safe space for individuals to confront negative emotions and memories which get in the way of who they want to be and how they want to feel. I use EMDR, CBT, and DBT based interventions to help those I work with build skills to minimize how often they feel negative emotions and make healthy decisions.
