I am passionate about working with couples whose relationships may be in crisis (broken trust; conflicted; disconnected) as well as stable marriages wanting deeper connection and relational intimacy. I help them see themselves and each other through a lens that includes the issues each person brought with them to the relationship, including ways their hearts and minds were impacted by relationships and situations experienced during their formative years. The therapeutic approach I use helps build understanding and empathy that constructively leads to changes in behavioral patterns and relationship dynamics. The goal - mutual satisfaction and freedom to love one another well.
I specialize in an accelerated approach for helping couples heal and grow their relationships through a combination of corrective emotional experiences and paradigm change. I also help people cope more effectively with stress, grief, and anxiety, do life coaching for individuals, and led CRC marriage intensives for years in Texas and Georgia.
My faith in Christ shapes my values and perspectives, helping me relate to spiritual issues some clients face. However, I do not impose my faith on others. Married 40+ years, I earned a PhD in counseling and psychology after working 15 years in the corporate world (AIESEC International, IBM, Conoco).
