Now accepting new clients! Video appointments available statewide in NM, and in-person counseling appointments available in Roswell. Are you experiencing problems with drugs or alcohol? Well I have some good news and bad news for you. First the bad news. It takes effort to stop addictive behaviors, and to address the underlying emotional or trauma issues that compel you to relapse over and over again. There's no magic wand, no Abracadabra. Now the good news. The cycle doesn't have to be endless, and recovery is possible!
I have 29 years experience working in the addictions and mental health treatment field and have worked in a variety of settings. I authored a workbook on Mindfulness-Based Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. I also specialize in teaching coping skills for trauma and difficult emotions (such as anxiety and depression) that can perpetuate addictive behavior.
My approach is eclectic, client-centered, empathic, and goal-directed. My priority is to help folks struggling with addiction to begin or enhance the recovery journey. I can help you chart a path to sobriety and wellness, and to begin to address the underlying reasons behind addictive behavior. I currently offer virtual and in-person appointments.
