Hello, my name is Pastor Brooks Gibson and I am a Master's Pastoral Counselor. I am educated & trained in Christian Counseling, Clinical Psychotherapy & Family-Juvenile Court services. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults & couples for over 30 yrs. I treat a range of issues & have become an expert in certain specialized areas. I am an ordained pastor & a Certified Community College Instructor in Psychology, Counseling & Chemical Dependency, teaching over 16 years at schools like: GCC,PVCC, Az College of the Bible. I am a member of the American Assn of Christian Counselors & American Association of Pastoral Counselors.
Academically, I obtained my B.S. in Psychology at Grand Canyon Univ., and my M.Ed.in Counseling at Northern Az Univ. I studied and taught Bible at Az College of the Bible & did post-grad work in Clinical Psychology at Capella & Ottawa Univ. I was awarded the National Dean’s List, Who’s Who in American Univ's & the American Christian Leadership Council Awards
I co-authored the Az State guide for custody; "Planning Parenting Time: Arizona’s Guide For Parents Living Apart." I have completed several thousand child-adol evaluations & over 2,000+ adult evaluations using the MMPI-2, MCMI-III, PAI, 16PF, DISC, etc. Having worked in psychiatric hospitals & out patient services, I began my private practice in 1990.
