Brooks E. Gibson, M.ED., has been trained in Clinical counseling, Pastoral counseling, Christian counseling, Forensic counseling and court related services and has been providing these services for over 30 years . In 1980 he began working under Donald O. Clifton, PhD, at SRI, Gallop (Gallop Polls), known as the "Father of Strengths Based Psychology" and "Grandfather of Positive Psychology". He moved to Arizona in 1984, where he began a pastoral internship in counseling, followed by work in psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment, Psychodrama, Intensive in-home therapy, out-patient and court ordered services.

While still providing counseling for all ages, Brooks has served as a forensic expert to the court in high conflict cases as a Custody Evaluator, Parenting Coordinator, Therapeutic Interventionist and visitation supervisor, He also serves as a private consultant and mediator in cases.

Early on, Brooks found that 90 minute sessions for counseling were more productive for clients and still provides these sessions as a standard in his practice. Many clients benefit from taking home audio, video and reading material the library on topics relevant to them.
