I support folks navigating the wild waters of conception, pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood. As mothers they experience tension between their intuition/body wisdom and dominant cultural messages. They may simply feel overwhelmed by life, anxious, lost, or surprised at how simple things feel so challenging. My clients are almost all moving through some kid of grief, anxiety, perfectionism, overwhelm, identity change, and depletion.
I am a certified perinatal therapist (PMH-C) and a matrescence educator in WA state. I provide a holistic approach integrating my humanity as a fellow new parent to my work with clients. I utilize feminist theory, mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help clients find new self trust and grounding as they cross major life thresholds.
Pregnancy and new parenthood are times when we can feel the MOST isolated and overwhelmed we have ever felt in our lives. I love this work as it allows me to join with my clients to combat isolation and uncover new strengths that arise with the transition to parenthood.
