My goal as a therapist is to work collaboratively to understand and address the issues that are standing in the way of you leading your most meaningful and satisfying life. I believe that healing occurs in relationships and therefore it is important that we work together to relieve the symptoms of distress that brought you to therapy while simultaneously developing and exploring our therapeutic relationship. My approach is highly tailored to the individual and integrates psychodynamic perspectives along side evidenced-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and mindfulness.
Areas of focus for my practice include eating and body-image issues, substance abuse, anxiety, mood disorders, and dual-diagnosis concerns. My journey to clinical social work started as an attorney where I saw the need for mental health services and treatment.
