I love working with children and families as they address significant social, emotional and behavior concerns. I seek to help parents or caregivers understand that their child's behavior is trying to communicate something, and together we figure out what the unmet need is and how to provide support and meet the child's needs in alternative ways. I also partner with the child to help them learn how to communicate their wants and needs in safe and appropriate ways by teaching them alternative replacement behaviors instead!
Services will be highly individualized and based on the unique needs of the child, parents (caregivers), or family. These services can be provided at our office in St. Peters MO or via telehealth, if needed.
Parenting can often feel isolating. It is easy to fall into the trap of thinking your child is the only one who acts like this, or you are the only one dealing with this particular situation. Please know you are not alone! My goal is to come alongside parents and children and make sure they know they always have someone in their corner to support them!
