About

Brittany supports individuals in areas of mental health disorders, difficult life transitions, substance misuse, spiritual abuse and individuals with a history of trauma. I believe we are the experts of our own unfolding and that mental health symptoms indicate deeper wounding that present an opportunity to discover ourselves. As humans we develop coping mechanisms as a desperate attempt to survive, self soothe, and regulate the nervous system. My role as a therapist is to help tend to these wounds, gently; to invite self-love, compassion, and vulnerability, and to introduce strategies that facilitate relief and healing.
I practice from a strengths - based, person - centered perspective. I will share my own tools for centering, and know that when I tend to all of my parts, I am secure in the present. Therapy with me provides an open environment to improve self - awareness, confidence, and interpersonal skills. I believe it is a collaborative practice of personal exploration
I believe in a positive approach toward identity, sexuality, and personal exploration. This means accepting, supporting, and walking alongside clients as they explore gender and sexual identity, and the outward expression of that in relationship. This is a sacred process of looking at all the things that make us unique in self and along side others.
