The first step to treatment is the hardest. Finding someone you trust with your inner most struggles is scary. My approach to therapy is warm and inviting. I believe in meeting clients where they are not where I think they should be. I ensure clients have knowledge of their mental health diagnosis and assist them in identifying the best treatment plan for them. I encourage clients to take the lead on what they would like to discuss in therapy and always remind clients that all of our feelings are usually connected to something clinical that we will discuss or work on. I enjoy working with high schoolers and helping them grow.
I specialize in working with adolescents 12 and up, college students and adult women. I specialize in anxiety-related disorders, depressive disorders, borderline personality disorder, prenatal, postnatal and perinatal disorders as well as trauma-related disorders. I do have a history of leading IOP groups for substance use and am comfortable treating this.
