About
Coming to therapy can be scary! Do you worry that your therapist won’t “get it” or will tell you how to live your life? I understand that it can be hard to ask for help, and that it takes a brave person to decide to make changes in their life. I believe therapy should be a time where you feel comfortable and safe to be your true self! I am a strengths-focused therapist who won’t judge you, tell you what to do, or give you advice you didn’t ask for. You are the expert in your life, and your problems aren't too much- my job is to help you understand yourself better, help you function in your daily life, and help you find healing.
I have enjoyed working with people from all walks of life, including survivors of domestic violence, members of the LGBT+ community, people involved in the legal system, and people who just don't feel like they fit in. I work in KC on Wednesday & Friday, I work in Lawrence on Thursdays, and focus telehealth mostly on Mondays & Tuesdays.
I have over ten years of experience in the social work field. I believe that mental health and physical health are connected, and that finding a sense of belonging and community can help us stay resilient. We will discuss your well-being as a whole person during our work together. Your personal growth is worth reaching out!
