Over the past 17 years, I’ve found ways to connect with teens; the ones that have tried everything to feel better, and despite their best efforts, have run out of options. Together, with a strong dose of humor and realness, we can understand and make sense of teen behavior. I see teens, families and run both a separate teen and parent group.

Together, I will work with your teen to help them develop a strong sense of self. I can help them learn to recognize emotions earlier on, and be more tactful in their relationships. This will reduce reactivity in the home, and create better patterns for resolving conflicts with family and friends.

The teen years are one of the most stressful times in both parents and teens lives. I can help your teen achieve greater balance, and have tools to manage life. This group is for teens who struggle with feeling disconnected, lonely & stressed. Group therapy is a great place to gain a sense of belonging, build trust with others in a similar age group, and learn how to identify and regulate emotions. In this group you will discover ways to negotiate difficult conversations, combat perfectionism, develop self-acceptance, identify responsible decision making, and increase perspective taking. Members can join on an ongoing rolling basis. The group has a 8 session minimum commitment.

Teen Parent Group- In Person or Virtual Format

This group will assist you in gaining support & community around the current challenges you are having with your teen. You will learn how to maintain strength & resilience while parenting a teen. It is a confidential space to learn ways to respond to this stage of development. You will gain clarity on values, fears & realistic expectations. It is a process group, and I will also be teaching tools from the reflective parenting model. Each group has a maximum of 5 parents, and no parents from the same school are matched. It meets every other week, and has a 6 session commitment.
