I provide counseling services to teens and young adults ages 13 to 27, and their families. Clients come to me to address depression, anxiety, ADHD, school stress and avoidance, self-harm and suicidal thoughts, challenges with self-worth and self-esteem, or for help navigating the transition in adulthood. I also provide parent consults to help parents in better understanding and supporting their teens, and also recognizing their own barriers to effective parenting. I am trained in Attachment Based Family Therapy which aims to repair trust between teens and their parent(s) and promote secure attachment.
I practice from a person-centered, strengths-based and trauma-informed approach, utilizing aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Motivational Interviewing. I am also trained in Brainspotting and utilize this technique to address trauma as well as stuck core beliefs.
If you're feeling stuck and looking for some support in navigating life, with some added humor and candidness from a therapist who has "been there", don't hesitate to reach out and chat to see if I'd be a good fit!
