I work with anyone who is feeling stuck in their life- helping them be seen, heard, and understood, as we approach problems with curiosity and empathy. While we can't control what happens to us, we can control how we respond- and therapy is the best way to get all the tools you need to respond to life's ups and downs. If you're motivated and engaged in the process, therapy can give you the set of tools you need to improve (or completely change) your life. I support clients in their goals, applying psycho-education, in-depth therapeutic training, 10+ years of experience, and (always optional) out of session homework.
My clients say that my therapeutic style is active and engaged, conversational, and warm, but direct. I'm an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, which is useful for both individuals and couples- even when sexuality/intimacy isn't a primary focus of treatment. I work well with clients who are curious about themselves, & ready to work towards changes.
In addition to working as a therapist, I employ & supervise clinical interns and associate therapists. I enjoy mentoring new therapists and helping them grow so that our local community has access to mental health care at a variety of costs. My select group of supervised interns are sliding scale, $50-$70/session, while employees are in-network with Premera.
