About
My role as a therapist is to create a safe space for clients to discuss their mental health concerns. I view therapy as a collaboration between the therapist and the client and strongly believe that the client is the expert of their own life. No one can know you better than you! What I can do is help to guide, introduce healthy coping skills, help clients challenge the negative thinking patterns they may be experiencing, create a safe place for clients to process traumatic life experiences, etc. As a therapist, I take a client centered approach and strongly believe in meeting clients where they are.
I have experience providing mental health services in a variety of settings (schools, hospitals, private practice) to clients of all ages. Diagnosis I have helped clients with are anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, OCD, grief and loss, life transitions, gender identity issues, chronic illness’/chronic pain, substance use disorders, and so much more.
If you feel that your mental health is suffering please do not hesitate to seek help. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness. Our mental health is just as important as our physical wellbeing and should be treated as such. Recovery and healing is possible.
