I specialize in marriage, trauma, and addiction counseling. I help couples with communication, conflict resolution, building trust, intimacy, and emotional connection. I am also trained specifically to help couples where trauma or betrayal has occurred in the relationship or in their past and how that affects marriages. I help with past trauma by processing in a SAFE environment, achieve emotional healing, coping strategies, and reduce symptoms. This can improve everyday functioning and prevent re-traumatization. I am trained to help clients take steps to achieve life long sobriety through honesty, support, and understanding.
I have training from the Gottman Institute for marriage and premarital counseling. I have training specifically to help with trauma, betrayal (infidelity, lying, stealing, etc.), and how it affects individuals and marriages. I am also trained in addiction as a disease with a solution to achieve life long sobriety.
