I believe in empowering clients to achieve positive change by fostering their individuality, resilience, and self-awareness. You can expect me to show up as both relational and authentic, while also providing clear structure and direction in the therapeutic process. I've worked in a wide range of mental health settings with over 10 years of clinical experience, and am fully certified in EMDR. I also practice Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and draw upon these approaches to help clients build mindfulness, emotional regulation, and psychological flexibility in preparation for trauma work.
I specialize in complex trauma, and am trained in several ways of modifying EMDR for different client needs, such as integrating Ego State & IFS (Internal Family System) techniques for structural dissociation and using the Natural Processing model for those wanting a somatic focus.
On a personal note, I am a transplant from Long Island, New York and tend to be direct and pragmatic, channelling that energy into robust and laughter-filled dialogues with my clients as we tackle the hard stuff life has thrown their way.
