I am well-equipped to work with individuals, couples, and families who are choosing therapy to better understand their experiences or work toward behavioral change & symptom management. As a clinical rehabilitation counselor, I work with people who are recovering from a major health or role change, specializing in TBI, neurodivergence, and substance use. I work especially well with people for whom traditional therapy has been inaccessible or ineffective, people who are action-oriented and high-achievers, and people who experience conflict between their identity and the expectations of society.
I use an integrated theoretical approach and eclectic modalities to provide support for the integration of mind, body, and spirit. I draw from neuroscience and psychology to provide a framework for understanding thoughts and behavior in the context of environment. Working with me means exploring the root of concerns to address present needs.
As someone with lived experience in my areas of expertise, I know the importance of having a therapist who provides validation and affirmation along with a roadmap for recovery. Research shows that therapeutic fit is the most important factor in therapy success, so I encourage you to reach out with any questions and I am happy to talk more about my approach.

I work with clients who feel disconnected from themselves or others, due to trauma or another mental health concern. I take a paced and collaborative approach to treatment planning, using both observation and conversation over the course of a few sessions to identify appropriate diagnosis and recommendations. My clients feel empowered in voicing their needs and making new decisions as a result.

I work from a feminist and social justice lens to deconstruct experiences with oppression and identify areas of power, focusing on how identity is created and how meaning is made. This allows us to use an eclectic toolbox, including traditional tools like CBT/DBT, as well as somatic and narrative processes, and interventions like EMDR to implement and adjust strategies for change and healing.
